Question about Dyson Vacuums

I was recently involved in helping expand our church's nursery. I was hoping Dyson might consider donating a vacuum. Even a refurbished unit would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Kelly Graham

You should write in the old fashioned way to Mr. Dyson and ask him. You have nothing to lose except the cost of a stamp.

You might need to contact customer service to discover the best address.

There is a third option to a straightforward donation. You could offer to find an affordable or free cleaner and ask if he would refurbish it free of charge.

Charge only lasts a very short time, unit only 10 days old, should I hope last longer?

I would contact Dyson. It sounds like you may have a defective battery. Considering Dyson products cost an arm & leg, I would want this fixed/replaced under warranty.

How to put beater bar back on main vacuum

Hi Mary, it's Jack at Dyson.

Our video guide below shows the correct way to remove, clear and replace the brush bar:

If you've removed the cleaner head itself, this video guide should help you replace it - it just slides up and clicks into place:

I hope this helps, but if you'd like our experts to talk you through the process, please give us a call on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

Cannot get the hose from the uprightdc25

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

If you're unable to remove the hose and wand from your DC25, it's likely the hose was twisted when the wand was last replaced on the machine after use - this can prevent the wand from extending correctly. It's easily resolved by following the steps shown in the video attached.

I hope this helps, but if you'd like further advice after you've given this a try, please give the Dyson customer Helpline a call on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 01-475-7109 (IE), 1-866-693-9766 (US), or 1-877-397-6622 (CA).

    DC28 carpet buttons don't work

I don't know your model but i've seen vacuum hoses with wires embedded in the coils that can break and stop a switch from working. If it's the switch itself i disassemble it to rebuild it. Wires or harnesses are the most likely suspect. I would never change the circuit board unless a trace has burned, or an ic isn't working.

    Hi, it's Jack at Dyson.

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulty with your DC35. If the brush continually rotates when attached to the machine, this sounds like there may be a fault with the main body assembly.

I'm not sure if you've purchased your machine directly from us, but I would encourage you to contact us so we can confirm what may be needed to resolve this situation. You can reach the Dyson Customer Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), or 1-877-397-6622 (CA).
