Go to your ring profile, scroll down to advanced options, click on profile you want to update, usallt the one that says active next to it. This should open up and have a list of options, phone, email, messenger, etc. scroll down to sms text and click the track ball. now pick and choose which ring tone you want, however many vibrates, and rings etc. once you are done, click the back button and save the changes.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Call log deleted

It is because your phone is out of memory. You need to buy a memory card and move you pictures, ringtones, and music onto that and then it will stop doing that.

Hello - my call log and texts aren't showing on my blackberry curve 8310 - not sure if i need to change a setting?

The problem is you don't have enough free space, so the phone deletes the call log and text messages to make more room. You basically have to delete any applications you don't use. Go to this website to fix it:

Here is an in-depth process of correcting this type of issue:

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

Blackberry Curve 8310 loading ringtones

Two ways:

1. Use the included Blackbery Desktop software and run "Media Manager". This will let you transfer any song on your computer over to the BB.

2. You can mount the BB as a drive in Windows and just copy the music file over directly. (This may only work if you have a media card installed -- might not work with built-in memory only.)

After copying the music over use the included Media application to try to play it. Once it plays in Media Manager you can be sure it will play as a ring tone.

Use the "Profiles" application and select "Advanced." Scroll to the "Tune" setting and select it. Scroll to the top of the list and select "Browse..." From there you can select the song and it will be a ringtone.

You can also set a ringtone individually for a contact in the address book. Edit the person's contact info and choose a custom ring tone at the bottom of the Edit screen.
