Clearing history on the iPad is pretty quick and easy:
1. Tap the "Settings" from the home screen.
2. Tap on "Safari".
3. Scroll down and you will see the "Clear History, Clear Cookies and the Clear Cache" section.
Just clear the ones you want or all of them to reset the browser.

These are the instructions from the "Additional Information" section: To clear your history from Safari, tap Settings > Safari > Clear History. Close unused tabs Tap Settings in your Home screen then tap Safari / Clear History, Cookies, and Cache.
