I had it working perfecty before but whereas when the cam is off theres a blue light and when its on there a red light there no light now but i use it in msn all the time and i really need to use my cam please if u know wat to do tell me cuz i have tried pressing fn and f10 but it doesnt work pllease hel a.s.a.p x

To turn on an HP webcam: 1. Go to QuickPlay (press the blue-lighted button above the F3 key (or next to the power button)). 2. When QuickPlay shows up, there is a row of six icons across the bottom of the screen: click on the second one from the left (the one with the photo-movie_reel-music_notes). 3. A window with three 'frames' shows up. On the left frame there are six items: the fifth one should say 'HP Webcam'. Click on it. 4. The webcam's blue LED light should now be turned on. There should be a rectangle with dimensions of ratio 1:2 which should show what the camera is sensing. 5. There is a row of seven buttons above that rectangle: the seventh is for taking snapshots and the sixth for recording videos. 6. Videos and pictures are saved at: Pictures -- C:\Users\Public\Public Pictures\My Snapshots Videos -- C:\Users\Public\Public Videos\HP Webcam sometimes it doesnt say "hp web cam" it says "usb video device"

Some of the cheaper web cams are only capturing 15 frames per second (FPS) or less, whereas better web cams can capture 30 FPS and a larger picture too.Visit the website of the manufacturer of your webcam and see the details of that camera. It's possible you can increase the speed some through your camera settings. Look for your camera's icon in your Control Panel or in your Device Manager section and check your settings.just needed to change fps and the back lighting. <3
i also bought the advent 5611 and found no webcam software. you can download any software and it will work such as cyberlink you cam etc when the webcam is working the light will go red
Hey there Sparky, Having trouble with your web cam huh? Just look on your settings for you Messenger sometimes you have to add the web cam to your messenger in order to start using it first.
basically we use RGB color system so it contains color like red green and blue....in ur web cam settings u only increased the content of red color and u decrease the content of green and blue...so pls take ur settings and put all three colors to a same number...it means u have number from 1 to 100 and u can give the red green and blue colors up to this limit....so put green in 32 and red in 30 and blue in 32......then it will b corrected
