The Ink reals and printhead assembly are all mounted on the single
black plastic mold which is held down by three mounting screws. Two
of the mounting screws are up front ; one within a long thin well, the
third is in back. Any long thin Philips Screw Driver will do.

You're going to have to eventually upgrade that printer. The ribbon spindles have clutches in them (and they go bad) and they are no longer available from Avery Dennison/Monarch.

The display screen is not working. Everything else is fine. But if I needed to change the setup or anything else I would be unable because there is no text on the screen.

Those front panel displays are flakey. They don't like static too much. You need to have that display board replaced by Monarch (Avery Dennison now).

I need speedy label software for Windows XP This used to ship with paxar monarch printers. The earlier version works only on Win98 Can anyone provide me this ?

You can open up label templates in Word or other word processors. For Word, you can find these on Microsoft's website for free generally.

If you are using Avery labels, they have their own label software package custom designed for their products here:

Monarch 9825 Thermal Label Printer: my monarch 115 pricing gun, the numbers reels gett...

You may wish to have Avery Dennison, the folks that purchased Monarch/Paxar, to service your printer.

Their phone number is 1-800-543-6650 and ask them the correct address for service. Your bands may be getting too loose, and need to be replaced. If it is something that they can instruct you to take care of, they can sell you the bands and provide instruction.

Seagull would likely have to provide the real help here, but it sounds like your Seagull drivers are not using the correct supply setting. If the supplies have a black mark on the back of the liner, then set your driver up as black mark. If they ONLY have a small gap between the labels, then set it up as die cut. If it has a die cut and a black mark, set them up as black mark.

It is also possible that your sensor is dirty, damaged, or covered up so that the printer cannot see the supplies. If you're not using Monarch/Paxar/Avery Dennison supplies, then the index mark (die cut or black mark) may not be to the printer's specification and it just doesn't know when to start and stop on a label.
