Question about Monarch 9403 Thermal Label Printer
Avery Dennison(Monarch Marking)Won't be supporting the 9400 or 9403
so, I realy need to be able to get in and fix things myself.My ink take up
real has stopped taking up the ink.I think the belt has slipped.Also
I think the cluches in the spindles are binding so I want to check them
out too.But, before I can do anything I need to get into the machine without breaking anything.

The Ink reals and printhead assembly are all mounted on the single
black plastic mold which is held down by three mounting screws.Two
of the mounting screws are up front ; one within a long thin well, the
third is in back. Any long thin Philips Screw Driver will do.

You're going to have to eventually upgrade that printer. The ribbon spindles have clutches in them (and they go bad) and they are no longer available from Avery Dennison/Monarch.
