Unable to turn tv on and of.

TV is a a 12-13 year old Mitsubishi, big screen. Called repairman and he could not fix it. He said it was the on-off switch, but parts are no longer availble or very difficult to find.

This is the first trouble we've had with this set. Can it be fixed? Does anyone know of parts for this set?

If no parts is available have it converted, since it is only a switch. any switch will serve its purpose as long it has the same power rating

Problems w my mitsubishi hdtv big screen
Typically this is a indication you have a Power Supply problem and not something you can fix with out a repairman unless you have knowledge of the Power supply Circuits in these models . Play it safe. Get a repairman who is authorize by Mitsubishi to look at it.

I have a mitsubishi DLP big screen TV where timer keeps blinking continuously after I have unplugged and plugged in and TV wont turn on.
THERE IS NO NEED TO REPLACE THE BRAIN. THE CAPACITORS THAT ARE NEEDED TO REPAIR THIS PROBLEM CAN BE PURCHASED FROM RADIO SHACK. I REPLACED THE 4 CAPACITORS THAT ARE LOCATED INSIDE THE BRAIN, AND I FIXED IT IN 30 MINUTES, COST OF $8. IT HAS BEEN WORKING GREAT FOR OVER ONE YEAR SINCE.
