Have maggots pouring from fridge, all over floor. Sprayed & swept for hours but maggots still everywhere. How do I kill them

Maggots won't hurt your plants at all. Bury them with your tea and have some beautiful plants.

Please contact a local pest control business, do it quickly are you will have a plague of flies in biblical proportions.

Any household pesticide will kill them. Also Windex spray window cleaner will kill them most likely, try it..

Try blowing compressed air up the drain tube.

I have used Raid Ant and Roach spray to kill maggots before.

Window cleaner will kill them.

Maggots are the larvae that have hatched from insect eggs. Yes, there might be eggs somewhere still in your refrigerator. I would suggest that you locate an insecticide (a bomb type perhaps) and set it off in your refrigerator BUT UNPLUG THE REFRIGERATOR FIRST. Close the doors and let the refrigerator stand for a week. After that time, you will need to carefully wipe down all surfaces with a mild soap solutions. Then rinse well. If there are still lingering odors you can wipe again with baking soda solution or you can place activated charcoal in the refrigerator to absorb the pesticide odor. I had this same thing happen in a foods lab with a microwave oven. I used this procedure and never had maggots again. You don't have to be a dirty person to have problems like these! You may have had something drip and somehow get under the fridge. I know blood dripping from meat will smell. It could have dripped down through the defrost drain tube to the pan underneath. You can access the pan from the rear by removing the cardboard cover. If the smell seems to be coming from the pan, it's difficult to remove so I would just pour some bleach in it to kill any smell and you may can wipe it out from there. The drain tube may also have the smell in it so you can pour some bleach into it from the inside of the freezer at the bottom of the rear panel. You can move the fridge to see if anything is pooled on the floor that might smell.

yes drain pan is located in the back on top the compressor....10:1 solution of water and bleach is good enough to clean it with....kills mold and mildew....also remember that if the fridge lost power and found cause a stench inside, could be held by the plastic....ive been using dryer sheets in my units to help with odors. may take a few weeks...but a new dryer sheet a week helps.
