SOURCE: Kozy World propane wall heater

The ceramic "bricks" need to be heated evenly. Since 3 are good, I would have to assume the other two have a restriction. Maybe a spider in the orifices, If  you can access the "jet" where gas comes out, try using a paper clip or something similar to clear any blockage. If that wont do it, pull the burner, remove each orifice and clear. Good Luck

Testimonial: "Thank you very much for the info. There was some trash around the opening of the 2 jets. I cleaned them out with a tip cleaner and now it works fine."

First off i have checked for gas leaks when i light my heater it lights just fine but after i set the temp and wait a few sec. flame engulfs the heater thatis when i shut off the gas so what is it

Is it possible that the heater is set up to use LP gas and you are using Natural gas? There is a large pressure difference between the two. Some units are not convertible, while others have a replaceable orifice that allows you to reduce the pressure when using Natural Gas.

Why does my Kozy World natural gas wall heater set off fire alarm system?

Most new heaters give off a smell or some light smoke which needs to be burnt off the first time it is used it may smoke , this may be why your alarm is going off , run it with a window open to remove smell etc .

I have three Kozy World wall heaters. Two work just fine - the bricks turn red after the heater has been on for a while. The third one always burns blue and the flames 'lick' the top of the inside of the...

Yes, it sounds like the third heater has a Control Valve problem. It's allowing more gas into the system than what it's supposed too. Have you tried turning the flames down to a lower setting? If so, did it lower the flame height? How old is this heater and is cleaned and serviced at least annually? Are you using Natural Gas or Propane?

Please get back to me with the answers to the above questions and I may can help you.

Thanks,
Rich

Pilot flame pops and gets llonger then shorter

From what you have described, it sounds like a pressure problem with the gas. Contact Kozy World (you can find their home page on line) and speak with their Tech Service Dept. Also, the gas in the tank pay be very low.
