1. you should check that the monitor lead is inserted correctly and that there are no bent / broken pins in the end of the plug. If so you would need to replace that lead

2 would require that you check all your connections and if you are using PS2 type connections then really do check they are in the correct places.

belkin and many others in that price range vary in performance. You may also find that if your keyboard has special media keys or other wonderful functions, they might not work and this a problem inherent in all low end KVM's

Computers will not switch over

it has been some time since i used this particular kvm. one thing is true about all kvm's, you must boot each computer one at a time and each computer must be active on your monitor. so, turn off both computers and attach your kvm. turn on the computer that is attached to side A or 1. when the computer has reached the login screen you may boot up computer 2. check the documentation that came with your kvm, this particular belkin has a 3 stroke hot key sequence for switching. you can also find it online at the belkin site.

hope this helps,
brian

What is the use of belkin 2-port kvm switch?

The use of any kvm switch regardless of how many ports is to allow you to use 1-Keyboard, 1-Video(monitor), and 1-Mouse between multiple computers.

Hi . .. I want to use this KVM switch to connect

The GCS632U has keyboard and mouse emulation that may not work with all wireless combos. If your wireless combo is going to work the single USB connection would need to go into the keyboard port as that is the only port that will recognize the hot key switching commands. If the wireless combo still has problems then try using a USB wired keyboard to ensure the GCS632U is working correctly.

Where can I can the drivers for the Belkin 2 port KVM switch F1dk102u

Hi:
The Belkin 2 port KVM switch doesn't need drivers to work, it is simply a plug and play switch. You plug your keyboard, mouse and monitor into the control box, and your computers into the ends, and off you go. You toggle between computers with the switch button, and if you turn off one of the computers, it automatically swiches to the other one.

Belkin (F1DK102P) 2-port KVM Switch freezes

We have the same model and the same problem. The scroll lock combo did not work for us. You need to press Ctrl, Ctrl then up or down arrow.

The manual was a load of old Tom *** as it did not mention this.

Can's switch without it switching back to first PC

Sadly, it is probably the KVM as this particular model has a string of failures and is only rated 2 out of 5 stars on Amazon due to poor performance. :( http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-F1DK102U-2-Port-Switch-Cables/dp/B0001JXAQ6/ref=sr_1_1/105-6999807-3936431?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1187826004&sr=8-1 What I would do first is plug in Computer 2 directly to the monitor, keyboard and mouse with no KVM. If those work fine, it is probably not a computer issue; if you don't get video here, then it is a seperate issue with that PC. If Computer 2 is working, plug both computers into the KVM but switch the cables (plug Computer 1 into the KVM using Computer 2's cables). If Computer 2 shows up and can't switch to Computer 1, then it is the KVM messing up.
