Camera Problems My Samsung Digimax Pro 815 has the following problems: -can not set date (year, month, day) correctly. Example: when I try to set the current month (being positioned on the Monday counter) it changes the year and not the months! -Now he does not want to download the photos. I see them on the display, but when I insert the USB plug into the computer, it does not see the CF card with pictures.

Well there is a known problem witht eh CF memory design, i hope this is not your problem but it may be. Take your camera into a well lit area or get a small flash light. Open the memory door and peek down inside the camera and look at the pins inside the camera. Are they all uniform? does any look bent or out of place? there should be 2 uniform rows no pins should be missing or out of place. If they are you have a connection problem. This is one of the issues with this memory format and its why they have changed the design to SD. This is common with people who remove the cards alot and use a reader over time the card and the slot becomes warn and its very easy to bend pins because the card isnt sliding in smooth. If this is your problem (a few bent pins) you may have to take it in for service or try and fix it yourself. Ive read about people using a mechanical pencil. Remove the lead and the pin slips right into the top and you can carefuly move it back. Hope this helps!

have you tried to reformat the CF card?  If you deleted the image through your computer and not with the camera, the computer may have removed more than what was needed...

As if you have tried changing the date & time in your control panel plus BIOS.There is nothing left to be done regarding changing date & time.
But If your CMOS battery in the motherboard fails,it will always goes back to it deafult date & time.Replace the battery and it will solve your problem.

I recommend to use Sony Lithium Battery

add me in i have the same problem (time and date reset every time you turn off the unit) plus s710 hangs when on view mode... is this something to do with the firmware (mine is ver.1.1)........ please help..... its very annoying....
