Yes, the original issue was the control from the beginning. the control is damaged and it cannot register the latch at this point. this is necessary and , it will fix the issue.

I have a Frigidaire front load washer #ATF6000SF1 and need to reset the PAU and E41 error code. I cannot get the unit into diagnostic mode to accomplish this. How can I reset this code?

I appreciate your post, Josh Orenstein!
From my understanding your Frigidaire washer is displaying "PAU" and "E41". "PAU" normally displays when there is an interruption to the cycle and "E41" means the main control board thinks the door switch is open. Either code can display due to a faulty door latch assembly, door strike, or main control board. You can attempt to perform a factory reset by holding down the Start/Pause button and Select button until a signal sounds. Also review the door latch and strike to see if there is any visible damage that could cause a short within the components. If there is no visible damage you may want to consult with a technician for proper diagnosis and repair of your washer. Hope this information is helpful to some degree. -Matt

ATF8000FS1 washer is stuck in pause. Any suggestions?

Hi friend, thanks for your inquiry!

If your washer continues to display an error code of "PAU" it could be an issue with your door lock but if the door strike is not sitting properly within the latch your washer will continue to provide the error code "PAU". Additionally, if your control panel is registering that the door is closed you may continue to experience the "PAU" code. I would recommend having a professional come and properly diagnosis your washer to prevent any unnecessary part purchases. I hope this is helpful. -OOS

Frigidaire front loading washer will not start will not stat, I get a PAU or ERR message, tried resetting by unplugging for an hour, removed and cleaned soap dispenser, and checked door for proper closure....

Thank you for your question, Friend.

If you are still receiving an error code PAU after resetting your washer, then the door of your washer is probably not securely latched or the cycle has been interrupted. Try pressing "PAUSE/CANCEL" or "START/PAUSE" once to resume cycle. If the issue persists, then your washer could possibly have a faulty door latch, door strike or experiencing a communication error with the control board. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. Best - Z

I've had problems starting my washer because the door does not close properly, and then I get an error or pau code
What has worked is to unplug the washer for a minute, close the door, and then plug it back in. it then starts normally with 2 pushes on the start button

My FA ATF6000FS1 has a "paused" error message machine wont function

Hi Alex, thank you for your inquiry!

"PAU" commonly indicates that the unit thinks that the door is not securely latched or the cycle has been interrupted. Try pressing "PAUSE/CANCEL" or "START/PAUSE" once to resume washer. If proves to be ineffective, try reprogramming the appliance by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and then turn your washer on. If the issue persists, then the washer could possibly have a faulty door latch or experiencing a communication error with the control board. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose the washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.
