Hello, Frederick -

It would help in trying to find a source for the Anvil brand toaster (a sandwich press?) part you need to know where (what country) you reside.

Note: Fixya.com receives questions from people all over the globe.

Also, your question landed in the Fixya.com category for Locks & Locksmithing - nothing to do with Kitchen Appliances.

I suggest you delete your question and re-post it on Fixya.com, making sure it lands in the category for Kitchen Appliances.

Best wishes.

    Hello, again -

    After much searching, I finally found the website for Anvil, a company which manufactures food service equipment, and seems to have been the manufacturer of your toaster. This is the link to the company website: http://www.anvilworld.com/contact-us

    If you have not already contacted the company directly and asked for a source for the part you need, I suggest you do that first.

    Best wishes.

Your coils on the other side could be burnt out or there is a short in your wiring

My One Touch stapler isn't stapling correctly. The staples go in but don't bend around in the back to secure the papers together. Is there a way to open up the stapler, other than inserting staples?

I don't think taking it apart will help - when staples don't bend behind the papers, assuming the correct staples are used, it is usually either the anvil is worn or there is some misalignment between the staple and the anvil.
The anvil is usually the part that wears out first, fortunately many office staplers use a dual anvil that can be turned around to select the staples being bent outwards. This position is ideal when the staple will need to be removed at a later date.

Staples are usually produced with a sharp square end to each leg that after a few thousand staples will have done some damage to the anvil or a few hundred if the anvil had slipped through unhardened.

I suggest you take a look under strong light and magnification and compare it with that of a working stapler...

I'm in the market for an anvil and have read about cast iron ones from China. I am tempted to buy once because of the great price. Would you recommend them?

I wouldn't buy a cast iron anvil personally. They tend to be junk. They are brittle and chip very easily and definitely aren't suitable for normal use.

TSA locked our TSA002 lock on our samsonite bag when they inspected it. We do not have a key. TSA said we needed to go back to the airport, but is there a way to get a key?

No. That's part of the whole purpose of TSA passkeys; they're held securely and only at ports. If it were easy for anyone else to get hold of them the locks which are TSA approved would become pointless.

You only have three options if you do not want to return to the airport:-

1. Get a locksmith;

2. Cut the lock off/drill it out;

3. If your lock is usually key operated (not a combination) then there will be a number next to the lock barrel (not the TSA number, that just tells the TSA which of their passkeys to use). A Samsonite dealer can order the correct key for you using the number and some even keep them in stock.
