Ebay says they hold the money until they get my approval to release the money to the seller.
EBay's Vehicle Purchase Protection covers only certain vehicle transactions that are completed ON eBay.com. If a Craigslist or non-eBay seller 'promises' you the eBay protection plan, this is ***** and you should walk away. ... Vehicles advertised well below what it is worth may be tempting, but should be a red flag.

Red Flags, Dude, all over the place. I wouldn't deal with this seller no matter what assurances they gave. Just find another car, there are thousands out there just like the one you want through reputable dealers. Let this go before you get taken to the bank. Don't ever give anybody your ebay information, never.

Do not continue the transaction and do not pay for this item. VPP only works if you purchase an item on eBay motors site. ask the seller for the eBay 12 digit item number so that you can check if this item is a legite listed item on eBay. Do not pay if you do not bid or won the item on eBay site. This is a spoof email. Please forward the messages you got from this seller to [email protected] so that eBay can investigate this for you
There is a delayed payment plan, not sure how long it is, go there and check it out.
