SOURCE: charger overheating and melting the tip, Irregular charging
First, Check for damage (frays, tears, melting, or cracks in/on the insulation) on the power unit from tip to wall socket. If all looks well then I would check the voltage on the power unit by using a voltmeter. If it's within manufacturer printings on the box, then you might have a possible short.
Hope this helps.
SOURCE: phone will charge but i have to move the cord around so it will charge
Im sure the primary problem with your phone is within your charging terminal/charging port. It needs to replace a new one, maybe because it might losen or partially damage. You should bring your phone to a cellphone service shop and ask them if they have a charging terminal/charging port just like yours and let them replace the new one. Also try insert your phone to a different charger that you sure that is ok, observe if desame happens. We can't ignore also that it might be the charger that has the problem. SOURCE: my cliq will not charge..
I Have the same problem. The Charging indicator is charging but the battery drains instead of charging. I swapped batteries and the same thing happens
SOURCE: I put a new battery
It takes over 7 hours to charge, so did you leave it charge overnight?
But while the original battery is chargable, disposable replacements are not. Here is what the manual says:
{ ...
The supplied battery is a Li-ion battery. It charges while in the
camera using the supplied charger. The camera can also use a Duracell
CP1 disposable Li battery, which has the same form factor as the
supplied Li-ion cell. HP claim the Li-ion cell will provide power for
approximately 200 shots under "average" use and 100 shots with
"extensive use of the LCD and flash".
Charge time for the battery using
the supplied charger and in-camera charging is 5-7 hrs for a fully
depleted battery. In the optional docking station, charging takes
2.5-3.5 hrs and using the optional rapid charger, charging takes 1-2
hrs. ... }
