Applicable codes would be in a compatible remote control.

Directions to get remote codes to work on Westinghouse TVs:

TV.

Press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks.

Enter 9 9 1, wait two blinks.

Enter 1.

Press and release VOL UP.

Point the remote at the TV and keep pressing and releasing the CH UP key, if and when the volume changes.

Press select to lock in code.

I had cable took off and now i want just basic tv the regular channels abc, nbc, cbs and fox but when i try to scan the channels its asking me for a 5 digits access code for the westinghouse

you can go online and get the code. for some reason you have to go to westinghouse website and put in your model serial number abd it will give you a code allowing your tv to pick up local tv channels i dont know the reasong behind this

The solution relies with the remote. press the menu button and use the +/- buttons beside it instead of the volume or channel buttons. This TV was at a work camp in northern Alberta and the instructions were not available. Hope this helps others who do not have instructions available.

View it in 'Flip card' option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu by the [Sidebar] tag, at the top left corner of the display window. It will make search easy. Some times, the ads attached with each posts, both at the right and bottom, might help you to find the availability of spare parts. There are more than 750 posts to different brand TVs now
