Simpson front loader and it appears that a screw(not related to the machine) has lodged between the inner drum and outer drum. When you turn it over by hand you can hear it rattling

if you dont want to call an engineer out, take the back off the washer, then at the bottom of the drum you can remove the heating element, Dont worry about water coming out, you may then extract the screw by tilting the machine backwards and using a magnet

Frigidaire Affinity Glacier Stackable upright washer. Washer will not agitate and makes a buzzing sound from the pump that extracts water from the drum. Water collects and remains in bottom of washer.

The drum fell out of the socket and unable to spin at super fast speed, so the extract cycle/final spin does not fully extract the water. is it worth getting this fixed or should i just buy a new washer?

If you turn the inner drum by hand and if you hear thumping noises as it turns or it does not turn smoothly. The problem is probally a broken spider or support arms. It is very expensive to repair, costing as much as a new washer.

I have a frigidaire model fwl22sa it startted leaking and now it stopped spinning

Same problem here with same make/model. I am not an expert "washing-machine-guru", but I do have a fair level of technical knowledge. Well, when I inspected my washer looking for the problem I found that the rubber hose used to move water from the drum to the extraction water pump is broken. The water escaping the hose is spilling over the electric motor, motor belt, drum brake and water extraction pump. I removed the hose and inspected it looking for the reason it broke. All I can say is that I think that the material (rubber) used is not top quality. Apparently the cause of the failure is age. Maybe the chemicals running thru it may have debilitate the hose to the point of failure. The drum brake is not operating normal, retaining the drum from spinning when it should be. Also the motor belt have stretched a little bit, maybe because of the water spill. If your Frigidaire FWL22SA is leaking water when the drum is being filled you better refrain from using and inspect the hose. I buy the hose (original spare/repair part) for only $3.99 and installed myself. That is far cheaper vs buying a new washer. Good luck.

Runs but does not extract water

I have had this problem several times. Almost every time all I have to do is remove the front panel and clean out the tube from the drum to the pump that pumps out the water. You can try gently squeezing it while the washer is on the cylce to pump out water. If that doesn't work you'll have to bail the water out and remove the hose to clean it out.

What does the max extract feature do

If the washer is removing all of the water from the washer during the spin cycle it is likely working properly. Not an expert but I believe max extract causes the washer to spin for a slightly longer period of time in order to remove more water from the clothes. We use it regularly because our clothes come out to wet otherwise.

Washer spins but not enough to extract water from clothes or tub.

could be a loss belt or a kinked hose, since you say it feels weak i would think it is not getting up to speed which would be a loss belt or drive train issue, of course it could just be to big a load or on slow spin speed setting

Poor extraction

Check the drain pump filter and remove the drain hose where it attatches to the plumbing under the sink/tub and look for any blockage in the drain spigot. Also you can remove the drum to pump hose and check that for any blockage. Try to turn the pump impellar by had/finger and it should turn freely. If it doesn't turn freely, the pump is seized and has to be replaced.
