Paper jams w/ all types of paper, Ink blotches...

Xerox phaser 8860 seems to be getting the most jams at the beginning picking up the paper and at the end coming only half out. I have to open the exit cover to take it out, as prompted by the printer.
Also, I started getting ink blotches, mostly beige and multicolored spots on the print-outs. I have replaced the maintenance kit and troubleshooted for light stripes test and cleaning page.
I restart the printer when it starts acting up.
What else can I do?

If you're getting spots on the prints, run the Remove Ink Smears routine in the maintenance. It will clear the ink from the preheater. User packing tape to pull dust off of pick rollers. It's easy to unclip the unit and roll it on a piece of tape to remove dust.

Phaser 7300 jamming manual feed

Can you print fine with no jams from the lower tray?
make sure you have clean new paper and start out with the 11"x8.5' letter paper. If you have that then follow the instructions below.

  1. Make sure there is no peaces of paper jammed in the path.
  2. clean the rollers with regular rubbing alcohol sometimes the rollers get way dirty to pick up the paper.
  3. If none of these tricks helped you then you have to change the the manuel feeder. part # 116-1561-00 good luck.

Xerox Phaser 8400: Our printer keeps jamming. Some of the ink is staying on the right edge of the drum and it seems as the paper goes through the printer it gets stuck on that ink. We use only Xerox ink...

There are no less than 5 places on this model where you might clear a paper jam. Is it possible you still have a small bit of paper stuck somewhere?

PCL5 OUT OF MEMORY Phaser 8860

After reading some similar stories, I simply restarted the Xerox Phaser printer via the menu on the physical printer. I theorize perhaps the Phasers on board memory could have been bogged down from all the pictures involved in the problem documents and all the size problems associated with large files.

Ink not being removed from metal drum, causing jam

Normally indicates that the mintenance kit is drying out and not properly lubricating the drum.
Or non xerox ink sticks have been known to cause that.

Phaser 8200 Smears on Linen Paper

Your maintenance kit is running low on oil and needs to be replaced. Since the image drum is not getting enough lubrication, some of the ink from the previous page is sticking to the drum and carried over onto the next page. Also, try to match the printer paper type to the paper you are using. It will adjust speed, temperature, etc. to optimize print.
