I Have recently Purchased a new LG 22" HDTV and want to connect to an older style video recorder. should i connect the old RF way and if so what input do I select on LG remote.what channel should I...

Your old video recorder should have the cable with the red, white and yellow connection. Plug them into the red, white and yellow boxes in the back of the TV. Usually there is a small white box painted around those three boxes and it says "Video 1" or "Video 2" on it, depending on how many video connections you have. If you turn on your TV you need to push "input" on your remote control and select the option "Video 1" or "Video 2", it needs to match with where you plugged it in the back of the TV.

New LG 32LD350 - Allowed TV to auto-program channels, and for some reason, it skipped past channel 4 during the tuning process. When I select channel 4 in the tuning options, it comes up as no signal. On...

When you are auto tuning the system will not store a channel which is week by its standard ( at least 60% signal strength ) This done to avoid grainy picture and hissy sound.
You can go into manual tuning and store it.

I can't tune my tosihiba vcr into my sharp tv

If you are using an aerial lead to connect it, put a video in the machine and press play.
Turn the TV into its RF search mode on the channel you wish to watch video on, say 9.
When the picture of the playing video apears, you have been succesfull! Store the channel.
If you are using A/V keads or scart connectors, play a tape and with the video connected to the TV, select which ever AV/EXT channel it is connected to.
Hope that helps.

I have an older but operable Sanyo VWM-700 4 head hi-fi VCR to connect to an older but operable 13" TV just to watch workout video cassettes(via cable, no cable box necessary). How are the connections made...

You connect the Antenna to the VCR, you connect the AV OUT from VCR to AV IN on TV.(Yellow, Red & White) (Doesn't matter as long as color to color) Then you TUNE the VCR to the channels and the TV simply acts as a monitor. You must tune the TV to the OUTPUT from the VCR. If ya play a tape and look for the signal on the TV, to "Tune it in" to the VCR. first. then go to tuner.

DVD players do not connect using regular cable connections Your flat screen TV should have separate Audio and Video connections. These are the connections that you should use to connect your VCR and DVD player. If you have a combo unit, that is a single unit that has both DVD and VHS in one box, you might be able to get your VCR to work on the cable connection. However your DVD will not be able to work as the cable connection doesn't allow enough information to pass through. If you go to your local Audio Video store and tell them what you want to connect they should have the cables you need for less than $10.00. Good luck.

VCRs are usually connected in Audio-Video inputs of TVs.
Please check what input is being used in TV for VCR cable hook up at rear of TV. Select that AV input in TV by remote and enjoy.

Recording from LG 42pc1dv plasma tv to LG v782w VCR

If it does this on all channels then the video on your AV out from the TV is bad.

If it only happens with some channels then this is Macrovision protection working which will not allow you to record premium channels and any that are using this protection.

If a VCR is connected: * The VCR needs to be on channel 4. * VCR may not be ?fine-tuned? to channel 4. Locate and adjust the fine-tuning mechanism until the picture comes in clearly. * The <3/4> switch may be in the wrong position. Locate the switch on the back of the VCR and set it to <4>. If a converter is connected: * Make sure the TV is on channel 4. * TV may not be ?fine-tuned? to channel Locate and adjust the fine-tuning mechanism until the picture comes in clearly. * Determine if the converter is bad. Locate the cable wire coming in to the room and connect it directly to the back of the TV. If the picture is clear, your converter needs to be exchanged. Give us a call or stop by your local office and we?ll switch out your equipment. Check the fine-tuning of your TV
