skypainter, I also am having the exact problem you are. After reading what buffalo said, I removed my glass cover and knocked the pilot piece a couple of times with my screwdriver handle and so far so good. Guess it loosened up the spring. Just hope to get through the cold season.

SOURCE: E 1 error on Dyna-Glo Workhorse Kerosene Turbo Heater

Take the top off of the heater and and clean the nozzel orifice, while you have it apart wipe off the photo cell and clean and regap spark plug. The nozzel unscews and you can clean it with a bread tie.

After this clean or change the fuel filter in the tank, and finally check the pump pressure and make sure it is inline with the owner manual. This is assuming that it is firing to begin with

I am needing to to buy a thermal coupler for a dyna glo wall mount heater model #RMC50NGT where do I find one???

Almost any hardware store carries thermocouples and thermopiles. Take your old one with you so you get the right length.

Cant find set screw on pilot burner. model no. rmi 70ng dyna-glo wall gas heater.

Set screw for what? To raise the flame? Not one. What you gotta do is clean out the pilot. Least bit of dust makes the safety think oxygen is low and shuts down the heater. I flush the pilot with a drop of rust busted then I use the long spout on it to blow out the pilot. You could use a straw tubing or shop air. Take a look at the demo HERE
A great page that shows where to clean the pilot and has links to more good stuff: HERE

Pilot won't stay lit on Dyna glo wall mounted heater

I would check the flue out side first to make sure it is not blocked. If flue looks good i would try cleaning or replace thermalcoupl. Most of the dyna glo heater i have worked on have a thermal pile instead of thermalcoupl. If you have a thermal pile then i would lite pilot and hold knob down for about 3-5 minutes before you turn gas valve knob to on. If that doesnt work let me no and i can give you somemore ideas. I hope you get it working. What is the tempature out side?
