If you can, test your machine using a different foot control (perhaps a sewing machine repair shop can help with that). Testing will at least tell you if the machine or the foot control is faulty.

Um, it could be no power to your machine, I would suspect it is the power cord, plug or possibly an internal electrical issue. If the foot control failed, the machine's light should still work.

They can be bought new for around £50 including accessories and manual etc. I think about a£10 is what you might have to pay but honestly you'd be better off with a second hand full sized machine.

Try unplugging the power from the machine for a few minutes and let the computer reset itself.
