Question about Computers & Internet
I cannot format my pen drive.there is a autorun file inside which cannot be deleted.i think it is a virus.everytime i wish to format, there will be a message saying that it cannot be deleted because there are another program using it.anyone can help?thanks!!!
Why don't you boot up with the OS bootable CD with the pen drive attached. In DOS mode give the format command to the Pen Drive. It should work. You can use the win98 boot CD, it has more DOS commands available than the later Bootable OS's. Alternatively log in as administrator and use the disk management tool to delete the partion than make it a logical drive and format it as you like......sodeep

You have to stop Autorun feature of
yourwindows which kicks in when we connect any new storage device
first, then you will be able to format the drive and start fresh.
Steps to remove autorun:
(restart your computer first without the pen drive and then start the below procedure)

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Tips for a great answer:
1. Open Notepad and do not write anything in it. Just go to File > Save as (save it with the name: autorun.inf)
2. Copy the autorun.inf file that you have created in the above step and paste in your "Pen Drives"
3. Remove your pen drive.
After removing the pendrive, re-insert in your PC. Now your anti-virus will not detect any virus in your PC. And Your pendrive is 100% safe to use.
