Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W80 Digital Camera
My display screen is flashing/blinking dark and light and when I take a shot it comes out white.
Does the display itself or just the image blink? Actually, W80, W85 and W90 has a problem with the shutter cable connector - it looses contact from time to time, so the shutter could open or close all the time, changing the amount of light getting through and when shooting doesn't close as the camera is not able to control them normaly as there's a loose connection. If the pictures have horizontal lines (zoom in the picture to check it) then it's 100% this problem. If so, you should contact your local Sony service center and see if they can fix it for free as it's a factory problem. If they don't aggree / ask too much, you can contact me at email@example.com and I can try to help you to fix this problem yourself (if you're ready to open it).
I work in a Sony service center.
Hope this helps!
