Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Why doesn't my system tray show the wi-fi icon?

1) You may have windows 10 which shows the Ethernet logo by default. If so disconnect the Ethernet cable and you should now see the Wi-Fi logo. replace the Ethernet cable.
Or
2) Check to see if its selected for notification. (Win 10)
Right click on a blank section of the notification area and select "Customise notification icons"

My icon for the battery power monitor has dissapeared from my taskbar can you help me get it back please

Do you have Windows 7? If so, you can right-click on the bottom right corner of your desktop (try right-clicking the time/date), where the icons for volume control, wireless, battery, etc... should be and select Properties. You should then see a screen where you can turn on/off the icons/notifications for battery power (sometimes my volume control disappears and i have to do this.
Otherwise you can go here, Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Notification Area Icons and you should find the same thing. Then just turn on your battery power icon/notifications.
Hope this helps.

Dell Inspiron 1525, my battery icon went missing from my taskbar (bottom right corner) and I can't restore it ..... plz help me :(

Hi,
The battery meter should display in the tray by default if a battery is detected in the system.
Let's try setting this manually. Please right click on the Sytem Tray to surface the context menu. Choose "Properties" off of the context menu--this will bring up the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" dialog box. Select the "Notification Area" tab. At the bottom of the tab, is the "Systems Icons" area. There is a check box for "Power". Please "check" the checkbox and click the Apply or OK button. The Battery Meter should show up in the tray.
Let me know if this works. Also, it would be helpful if you could send me the manufacturer and model of your notebook.
Thanks,
SF

I upgraded winxp sp2 to winxp sp3 and the power meter cannot measure the battery, says on A/C power throughout.

1. Run GPedit.msc to start Local Group Policy Editor.

2. Expand the tree to go to User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Start Menu and Taskbar.

3. Change set the state value to Disable or Not Configured for the following group policy to enable showing or displaying of the icon in the notification area.

Power (battery) Icon: Remove the battery meter

4. Close the Local Group Policy Editor.

5. Restart Explorer, Log off and log on again, or restart computer to make the change effective.
