There is no camera specific Linux driver. However, you don't need one to download pictures from camera to pc. If you're using Ubuntu 9.04, for example, F-Spot photo manager was installed by default and will start and allow you to save pictures from camera media to pc when you connect the camera to the pc USB connector.

Linux Drivers for Inkjet/Laser Printers and Scanners

Linux Drivers for Inkjet Printers, Laser Printers and Scanners

Open Source and Proprietary software developments for popular printers and scanners.

  • Currently HP provides Linux printing support for over 1,200 HP printers.
  • Canon periodically releases Linux drivers for certain PIXMA & i-SENSYS products based on global demand.
  • EPSON Linux Drivers is proprietary and is developed and distributed by AVASYS.
  • Brother has prepared a CUPS driver (For BR-Script Models Users) and a CUPS wrapper driver (For Non-BR-Script Models Users) package. The CUPS driver automatically copies the relevant driver files to your Linux distribution, and the CUPS wrapper driver makes LPR drivers work with CUPS.

Are there Linux drivers for the Spartan-6 / OMAP Co-processing kit? In general is there linux support for this board, i.e. linux versions of CCS and ISE available?

The CP2102 drivers are already integrated into most kernels. We've worked with Ubuntu 10.4 with no problems. See the Getting Started Guide on the site:
http://www.hqew.net/product-data/CP2102

Not sure of ISE, but I know that CCS4.xx does not work on Linux hosts. Versions of CCS5.x will support both Linux and Windows hosts.

We have been working on systems using virtual machines for the Linux development side, and Windows for the CCS/ISE side of development. Not the happiest of scenarios, but it works. CCSv5 on Linux will help solve a lot of those problems.

Sound doesn't work under linux

We'd need to know what computer you're using to be able to help here, Linux sometimes needs specific drivers (and sometimes has no available driver at all) for devices to function.

The best bet is to look up what sound device your using, like a sound card, or what motherboard your computer has, and do a google search for that device and "linux driver".

You should find what you're looking for, if it exists, when you do that.

Lexmark X7170 not working with Linux Mint

I regret to inform you that the Lexmark X7170 does not work on Linux Mint. Unfortunately, there is no driver available driver for this previous generation printer model for your Linux system.
If you want, you may contact Lexmark Technical Support Center to search for other Lexmark printers that can work on your Linux system and that meets your printing needs.

Iits impossible to work Lexmark x6690 All-In-one to Linux Fedora 11 Rui Gouveia

The Lexmark X6690 may not have the driver set to run in the Linux setting.
this will take a kernel build and it is not for the novice.
This will be trial and error to get most drivers to work with Linux distros due to the fact that the manufacturers are biased to linux at this time and are mostly tied to the Windows environment.
To get drivers that will work with the Wireless printer for your All-in-ine is to contact the manufacturer they are the ones who made it and they may have the drivers to correct it in linux.
I allway say "ask and ye shall receive."

Linux

Unfortunately, most drivers for linux are already included in linux when you install it. Most of the devices I have ever tried with linux works when I plug it in. I don't usually have to install drivers. Depending on what linux you have, the device should pop up in devices mounted or media. I would do a search for the device first because I'm almost certain linux can detect it. I think that you just can't see it because it probably didn't pop up on your desktop. Start from root and look under places like /mnt or /cd0. I bet you will find it. If you can't then let me know and I'll walk you through.
