Question about Goldstar MV-1526 Microwave Oven
Another common fault on magnetron devices such as microwaves is the High voltage Diode(black round or square 1 1/2 inches long) goes open circuit, causing the oven to sound like it is working ie. turntable rotates and humming sound but more strained than normal..replace only after discharging high voltage capacitor..Dangerous rating be very careful!!!!!!

HI. in most cases, this will lead to a failed Heating device(magnetron tube). It would be wise to check the Magnetron cutoff fuse to be sure of its integrity. if the fuse is blown, simply replace it. if the fuse continues to show continuity, replace the magnetron.
(((The fuse is located inside the unit along side the magnetron)))
