TRY THIS

first try to copy something to check that the hardware function is fine if copy comes out fine try the following step
click on start button go to control panel open printers and faxes select your printer name right click on it and go to properties click on advance tab now select print processor and select WINPRINT and then RAW
now click ok and try printing
if still does the same thing then goto control panel printers and faxes and then click on add a printer select ADD A LOCAL PRINTER now select existing potr and select usb 001 click next select the brand HP and then DESKJET 990c in the printer list click next give your printer name and select set as default now click next and finish the installation now try printing

Dell optiplex 740 supposed to be compatible with my hp psc 1110 prints very slow, how can speed it up?

Buy a better printer. This printer is only designed to print up to 10 black pages per minute and 8 color. It won't exceed that.

It prints really really slow

Expect pictures to print slow no matter what.
For letters and all text documents set your printer up to print draft for the best printing speed.

  1. Go to START>PRINTERS AND FAXES
  2. Right-click on your printer and choose "Printing Preferences".
  3. Choose the Color tab and set it to "Print in grayscale"
  4. You can also set it to use the b&w cartridge only for true black & white prints.

Slow Printing

it may just be a slow printer head, maybe an upgrade is in order. look on the box for page printing speed.
it may also be that you have the resolution set too high for basic printing. try turning this down slightly.

hope this helps.

HP PSC 1410 All-In-One printer speed is slow

Hello Sir,

I would like to provide you few workaround steps, you may try to improve the printing speed on the computer.

Delete all the Temporary files:

For Windows XP:
(1) Click Start >> In the Run window, type "%temp%" which opens temporary files folder.
(2) Delete all the files that are listed over there.

If Windows Vista:
(1) Click Start >> Programs >> Accessories >> In the Run window, type "%temp%" and press enter.
(2) Delete all the files listed under temporary files folder.

Another Workaround:
(1) Click Start >> Printer and Faxes.
(2) Right click on the Printer icon which is set as default and select properties.
(3) Click on Advance Tab.
(4) put a check mark on "Print Directly to printer" option.
(5) Click Apply and Ok.

Hope this solution would be helpful in resolving the issue that you are experiencing.

With Regards,
Ashesburn..

Hp psc 2410 photosmart

There must have been a settings change in the printers properties or the programme that your are using to instruct the printer to print text only and not the pictures. Sometimes printing web pages direct from the net have the problem, as pictures are left out purposley to aid printing speed.
