Computer doesnt recognize nor charge the iPhone

My housing was completely busted so I had to replace it. I know how to take apart the iphone so don't think I don't know. After I replaced the housing, there was something wrong with the home button so i decide to fix it. After fixing it the iphone started to not work even when connecting to the computer. I waited 30 min for the iPhone to charge and it still doesn't seem to want to recognize that the iphone is connected nor charge but for some reason it the battery started to get too HOT even though my firmware is still 2.2 or whatever the firmware before 3.0 is. I'm thinking that the battery is faulty and I need to buy a replacement so I bought a new one (well its just been dispatched). Honestly I don't know if it is the battery fault or the iPhone logic board (which I highly doubt because I never damaged it in any way and carefully reconnected everything together and obviously it worked after reassemble it but after the home button problem it stopped working).

I wanted to know, if you remove the battery and connect it to the computer, would the the iPhone respond? or it wouldn't recognize it? if it doesn't recognize it then I'm sure that the battery connector is somewhat faulty and its making the usb give more power to the battery than it should (?) so im guessing that replacing the battery will by my solution but I'm not so sure since there a chance that my logic may be damaged. What are you guy opinion about it. If you want to ask more question then I'm happy to answer it.

There is a hardware defect with your iPhone. I would strongly suggest setting up an Apple Genius Bar appointment at http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/

Sorry my english... i Think thatthe battery connector is not clean or sulphated. could have an ferric micro piece in there, because is the only way for the battery rarely start to get too HOT.. micro short circuit...
by the other side, when the home butom is damage, is because dust and little crab is allowed in there...repeat sorry my english.
there are a lot of apps in Cydia that allow you to replace home button function, so you will be fine at least...

You have damaged your phone in the process

battery should not get roasting hot.
and your dock connector seems either shorted or broken also.
i would get someone who unlocks phones (market stall folk) and ask em to have a look.

this should not cost much if u act like u want to buy thier service, :-)

If you're experiencing problems with charging your device, or your phone is not recognized when you plug it in, then you may need a new charging port.

I have the same problem, After replacing the housing, phone is not recognized by the computer nor charging. But still I can open it and play games.......... I changed the dock connector but nothing happened. I replace a new logic board and it works..... So 100% the problem is about the logic board. I did the housing very carefully and am sure I broke nothing. Seems weird to me. Anyone here know how to fix the logic board based on the issue i talked about? Appreciate for any help.

How do I pair a RocketScience Tracer bluetooth?

    • 1How to Pair a Bluetooth Device With an iPhone On the iPhone, click on the "Settings" icon. It looks like a gear. Then press on the "General" button. Select "Bluetooth" and then "Turn Bluetooth On." The phone is now ready to be connected to the Bluetooth device.
    • 2 Connect the iPhone Bluetooth travel cable that comes with the iPhone-approved Bluetooth device into the USB 2.0 port on the computer. Do not plug it into the USB port on the keyboard.
    • 3 Connect the iPhone to the other end of the cable. The cable goes into the data connection slot on the bottom of the iPhone. There is another slot on the top of the cable into which the Bluetooth device should be plugged in.
    • 4 Wait while the computer loads to recognize there is something plugged into it. Either a screen will pop up or an icon will appear on the desktop to let you know that the computer is recognizing there is a iPhone plugged into it.
    • 5 Let the Bluetooth device charge with the iPhone for about one hour. You can tell when the device is fully charged by viewing the status light on the device. It will be an amber color until it charges completely. Once the charge completes, it will turn green.
    • 6 Remove the Bluetooth device and the iPhone from the cable that is plugged into the computer's USB port. Push the button on the top of the Bluetooth device. This allows the calls to now go through the Bluetooth device instead of straight to the iPhone.

My unlocked iphone 3G won't turn on. Even with holding the home and on button and charging it in the car, computer and laptop. It's completely black

If the phone was soaked in water, you can try to put it inside your container where you put your rice in it for the water to completely dry up. If your phone fell to the ground, you may out of luck and have your phone checked up by an iPhone hardware expert. If those things didn't happen to your iPhone, you can try to press again your home and power buttons until you see the Apple logo. If you have a busted or unresponsive home button, try to press it harder to make it work.

You need to try to do a hard reset, then a restore. Follow instructions below:
1. Hold down home and power button together until screen turns completely black.
2. Open up iTunes on your computer
3. While holding down the home button, plug your iPhone into your computer and continue holding down home button until iTunes recognizes the iPhone
4. Should see dialog box from iTunes saying, "iTunes has detected an iPhone in Recovery Mode, you must restore this device"

When i select my Linksys WiFi connection on my Iphone I still has the "E" edge symbol on my Status bar even though wifi is selected.

You can tell iPhone is connected to the Internet over a cellular data network if you see ht1695_utms_onb.png,ht1695_3b.jpg or ht1695_gprs_onb.png in the status bar at the top of the screen.

Do you have problems connecting to any other wireless network with your iPhone?

Have you tried using the forget this network option on your iPhone for your wireless network followed by trying to connect to the network again, and/or using the reset network settings option on your iPhone which erases all previously saved wi-fi connections that you have successfully connected to with your iPhone?
Let me know....
