Top left of your Mail screen there is a left arrow. Click and it should show your mailboxes. Below are a greyrsion of the mailboxes. Click the down arrow on the mailbox you have junk mail in. It will open to show all your mailboxes for that account, inbox, sent, drafts and junk. Open junk and click edit. Each junk mail item will show a circle to the left. Click the circle and it is ticked. Click delete. Also you can delete the lot by clicking delete all, bottom right. Good luck.

Check to see if you backed-up your iPad to iTunes on your computer. If so, try recovering from there.

Whats the difference between trash and junk and how can I get rid of junk quickly?

Trash would be anything that you delete that comes from people you get email from. Junk would be like junk mail...unwanted or spam emails. Usually junk/spam email deletes instantly so you cannot retrieve it if you make a mistake. Trash usually deletes in 30 days. Some email servers allow you to change those settings as well

How do I delete all my emails at one time from my iPad

You can delete the email account from your ipad or the best and easiest way is to login to you email account directly the the server. Open the webpage of your ISP (gmail.com, yahoo.com etc..) login to your account and delete mails from there. Depending on your ipad email account this is the only way to delete the mails for good.

Why does my ipad mail program say connection to server failed?

Well, I would say that the connection to your mail server has apparently failed. Make sure that you have the server settings set correctly for your mail server. It might also be worth a try to remove the account and then re-add it again. Do you have another email account to test? Or, try accessing the Internet from your iPad. If the Internet works, it's just an issue with your mail server. Contact your email provider if none of the above fixes your problem.

My ipad has too much on it I need to clean unwanted programs and leftover bits from deleted programs

If you go into Settings > General > About. You should see all the information of your iPad. You will notice how many songs, videos, photos and applications etc.. you have. Also the capacity of the iPad (in terms of GB). Keep in mind, approximately 1-2GB of data is used by iOS7 (or whichever software update you have). Hope this helped!

Why am I not getting posts from friends. but the show up on junk mail?

Mail or iCloud (or gMail, if you use that, or in general the mail system) thinks the mail is junk, for some reason. You need to teach it that it isn't, by selecting the mail, press the folder icon and send the email to Inbox. Eventually, it will learn the difference.

When I try download apps to my ipad I put a password in and then nothing happens

Open Settings, tap General, then Usage. Check available storage. If it's less than 500 mb, consider removing stuff. The list at the top of this window identifies the culprits. If Music is big, consider deleting music (in the Music app) from the iPad... it'll remain available on your desktop iTunes (or on iCloud if you use iTunes Match). If you have huge apps that you don't play, get rid of them... (GTA, RealRacing, etc. are gigantic). If you keep videos or video podcasts on your iPad, stop it... just sync the ones you need.

Make iTunes your friend. Plug you iPad into your desktop device (if you're using one) and go through everything to see what you're syncing. Uncheck anything you don't use. You'll get space back.

How do I empty the trash can on my ipad

Hi! Well, I'm happy to inform you that there is no trash can on the iPad. Apple is trying hard to simplify the usage as much as they can, hence no trash can to be found.
