Problem with SSB module and will burn out a resistor on SSM board eventually and will have no sound at all.

Sounds like a bad main board

you might have a short in your wiring somewhere. If your power wire touches any kind of metal it will ground it out causing it to cut off.

I now have this same problem. Would like to know if there is a fix or if my system is just failing for good

Yes you are right man, this problem occurs only with the cable problem, i can explain you, if there is a receiver problem means you won't get the sound its dam sure,
only if there is a cable problem you will get some noise or sound cut off with the speakers, so you please check the cables properly it will be alright.

this sounds like the flyback has gone bad ( cheap part if you can do it yourself!) about 70.00
