ASROCK775VM800 on board video card problem

I have an ASROCK775VM800 motherboard. When I try to burn movies, a message appears that states my video card doesn't meet the minimum requirements. Is there a download I can get to update my drivers for the onboard video card? Thanks, Alec

Re: ASROCK775VM800 on board video card problem

You have an AGP slot, so you should buy a video card.
Check out Tiger Direct for any 256 MB card.|c:318|&Sort=4
GeForce has always worked well for me.
This is a relatively cheap and easy upgrade that will serve you well in the long run.

No video on start up

If you get no video ever, not even when the initial BIOS screen is supposed to appear, then you may have a failed video card or monitor. Your motherboard uses a PCIe-16 video card but has no on-board video. Check the motherboard manual for instructions on resetting the BIOS to factory defaults; perhaps the setting for the video card was corrupted.

If you get the BIOS splash screen and initial system start video, then it goes black, you have an OS problem. Try starting in safe mode to figure out what's going on.

Abit GD8 Pro video card best support?

the best video card depends on what you want to do with it. if you only plan to watch movies, it's no use of spending lots of money on a high-end graphics adapter. if you're more of a hardcore gamer, then the only thing i could say is this: look for a graphics card with as much video memory and as high a clock speed as possible. and try to avoid the brand MSI in combo with Abit system boards, since this may cause hardware conflicts and compatibility issues...

Windows xp installing failed

I assume you are trying to install XP from a self-burned CD.
Did you slipstream SP2 or SP3 in it?

If so, try to burn a DVD instead of a CD. I had that problem once too and followed some advice I found here.

If you have any more questions, just come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

Please help me to solve no display evga 680i sli (- -)error code

hi im josh in cebu phils.may i help you? friend try my solution ; Problem: Your Monitor Works, but Displays an Error Message Before Windows Loads If you see an error message, you at least know that video signals are getting to your monitor. Look for these common messages:
Bad or missing FILENAME In this message, the FILENAME refers to your video card's device driver file. Make sure that the driver has been copied to your hard disk and selected properly within Windows.
NUMBERxx This type of message (such as 24xx) indicates that you have a defective video card or a problem on the motherboard, or that you are trying to display in a mode that your system can't display. Check all the switch settings on your card and motherboard, and if the problem persists, see a repair technician. try to use that, good luck hope i helped you.

Burned motherboard....

If the chip on the bord burnt after seating the video card, I'd be inclined to throw both the motherboard (as it'll not be safe or stable enough to use now) and the video card (as it likely shorted the board) away ...

MOtherboard or Video card or Cables

I would go with the cheaper & say the video card. It wouldn't hurt to pull clean & reseat the card before buying another AGP.
