SOURCE: kidde Carbon Monoxide Alarms

YES!!!! If this unit is working properly you should not be in the house. Maximum allowable safety level for an 8 hour period is 50! If you think it's working properly call the fire department! This will cause dizziness,nausea,etc. Let your fire department find the problem! If you don't believe me follow this link to owner's manual but do it quickly: http://www.kiddeus.com/utcfs/ws-384/Assets/KN-COB-B(9CO5)en.pdf

SOURCE: kidde smoke alarm won't stop chirping

Most smoke detecotrs have a limited lifespan of 5-10 years. On the underside of the detectors should be a sticker with installed dated or replace by date. If changing the batteries doesn't stop the chirping it is most like time to replace the detector. If you check the manufacturer website they will give you a life expectancy for your detector.

The normal condition for the green LED is solid. A flashing green LED indicates memory of a prior alarm condition. Press the test for at least 2 seconds to reset the detector memory.

My alarm beeps at night for a short period

if it is about a smoke alarm with a battery in it, when the alarm beeps for no apparent reason, it is a bult in indicator that the battery is flat or approaching a low voltage and needs replacing
If it still beeps after replacing the battery have it checked out as a fire alarm is critical for your safety

Installed fresh battery in my Kidde smoke detector Model i12060A and after about 9 hours it started to beep . Disconnected it from power source and removed battery to silence it. Please advise how to

Two things I would suggest: 1. make certain the battery you are using is good; consider using 9V lithium instead of alkaline as they will likely last much longer and perform better 2. ensure you are following all of the instructions for battery replacement correctly; many smoke alarms and detectors have labels on the back with replacement instructions that specify leaving the old battery out for a minimum length of time, anywhere from about 10 to 60 sec; failure to follow this will often result in erroneous low battery indications. Of course, if the unit is over 10 years old, it must be replaced per NFPA72, the national fire code.

How do you unlock a kidde 1276

Shelton;
Simply push the unit inward toward the mounting base with the palm of your hand and give a counter clockwise 1/4 turn. This will disengage the retainer clips and you can pull it forward.

How do I stop the three pulse alarm pattern, I have checked my house and their is no danger.

You should check all the units when this occurs (this is an actual alarm sound) to see if one of them is different than the rest, either by flashing an led, turning on a red led, etc. The one that is different is the one with the problem; replace it. If your units are more than 10 years old you need to replace all of them by code (NFPA 72), just so you know. Good luck!

Hello I have a KIDDE FYRNETICE smoke alarm.

According to the Kidde website, this unit was discontinued in 2010. If the unit is more than 10 years old it must be replaced per NFPA 72 (assuming you live in the US)
