You can but that means stripping the printer to get to it. If it is optoelectronic then just push a small piece of card(black) into the slots. If it is a mechanical switch then do the same by pushing the lever down of the switch by jamming the paper into it. This is a temporary fix only and you should really just replace the door assembly.

What does "service req. - 00010005" on epson 4880 printer mean?

http://largeformatrepairs.co.uk/errors/epson/sp4880/00010005/

Quoting from the link above:

Service Call Error 00010005 CR Motor Out Of Step During CR Motor operation, there may be a case where the encoder pulse signal within the specified range is not input within a specified period of time or the pulse width is extremely long or short. In such a case, the CR Motor is judged to be out-of-step, so that this message is displayed and the printer stops operating.
This error occurs on the Epson Stylus Pro 4880 large format printer and is not a routine maintenance request.

I have an epson 4880 with an error reading "service req. 0001001d" How can I fix this

Service Request errors in the range 00010004 - 000101D are related to a carriage movement problem. In some instances like paper jams, the carriage locking tab may be partially pushed in, causing the carriage locking mechanism to put a drag on the carriage or lock the carriage completely. This will cause a carriage error. Make sure the carriage locking tab is pulled to the left. Then turn the printer's power off and release the carriage by pushing down on the cutter blade. Slide the carriage to the left and look for any paper that also may be restricting the carriage from moving freely.

00010004 CR Motor encoder check error 00010005 CR Motor out of step 00010006 CR Motor over current 00010007 CR Motor in-position time-out 0001000A CR axis detection error 0001000F CR Motor PWM output faulty 0001001D CR servo parameter error

The T-Fence may also be dirty or out of the carriage encoder. Check to make sure it is clean and in the center of the encoder. Contact Epson for additional assistance.

Printer CP2025 error - rear door open. Any suggestions please?

Are you sure that the rear door is not open? There is a door in the rear for jam clearance. Your manual can help you if you can't find this door. Manuals are on line at hp.com if you have lost yours.
