If the machine is a plack and white ricoh then the new error code is for the thermistors in the fuser they are not sending the correct temp readings check the fuser for toner build up on the surfaces of the thermistors and check the thermo fuses to see if they are blown....GOOD LUCK aa>>

How do I get error code SC2552 off for this printer?

Do you mean SC552? If that is it, then clean the thermistors in the fusing unit. Go into SP Mode, then while in SP Mode turn off the main power switch. It is ready to go.

Operating problem for copier machine

SC552 is a fusing thermistor error. Thermistor is in the fuser section. This code is for the END thermistor. You can also try to just reset the code. Enter the SP mode (service program) by entering the following keys.
CLEAR MODES, 1 0 7 and hold the CLEAR STOP key down till the maintenance screen appears. Press COPY SP on the touch panel then turn OFF the MAIN POWER SWITCH then turn it back on and see if it clears. NOTE: The "MAIN POWER SWITCH" is of the left side of the machine, NOT the top right side.

To reset error, enter SP mode by pressing: Clear (yellow) button, 1 0 7, and press and hold the Stop (orange) button for 3 seconds then switch off and on the copier.
If the error is still there, please check the following in the fuser unit;
  • Check and clean or replace the possible defective thermistors or out of position.
  • Fusing heaters open circuit.
  • Thermostats for open circuit.
  • Power supply unit.
Good luck and please rate me, thanks.

Desperate!!! Ricoh AP3800C Error SC552 fixed last week now back

SC552 means that the pressure roller (Lower roller in the fusing unit located in the left hand door of the machine) is not warming up correctly. Is the copier installed somewhere cold? i.e. a garage? If conditions are ok and damp is not a problem, either the thermistor that controls the pressure temperature is defective, or the lamp that warms it up is defective. They are the two more common problems, might be worth looking for one on ebay. However they are approx 250 pounds so if you can find a second hand one thats cheap for spares I would recommend that. Email me if you have to do this and I will talk you through changing the parts.

Power problem code sc552 lanier

What is the error code? Many of the codes refer to a general electrical problem, and often turning the machine off, resetting the circuit board connectors and harnesses and memory sticks, and turning the machine back on will clear the error code and allow the machine to boot up normally.

Functional problem sc552

I take it this is for a Ricoh?

SC552 is a pressure roller warm up error. It didn't detect the right temperature when it was turned on.

Turn the copier off for 30 seconds and then turn it back on again. If the error message returns, a technician should look at the fuser section to see whats causing the problem.
