Your LG 42LN570V-ZE TV has a problem with the screen get it changed and your your tv should work fine

Follow-up to warranty call - LG 42PC3d - was two months past warranty, but LG agreed to fix the 'sound, but no picture' problem under the warranty. Service dude was out within a week to replace the Z SUS(?) board - no cost to me. Works fine now. This must be a typical problem on LG plasma's using this board - perhaps a bad part from their vendor at time of manufacture. I have been really happy with this LG plasma -- great picture at a good price, and I have to say I am impressed that LG took care of the problem, even though technically they were not required too. One reason I decided on the LG initially was the better warranty from LG - two years - and it looks like my judgment call on this paid off. If I get two more years out of it, and it goes bad again, oh well -- it will be time for dude to buy another TV with new and improved features by then anyway. Thank you LG. The above link goes to lg's website describing the red flashing light where the power switch is, and
another switch down below which can turn that light off.
Try switching that other switch below off so the light turns off. Then, switch it back on.
If that doesn't work, then service should be scheduled for this discontinued model.
