Thn again i tried to write a small file of 5 mb and it wrote it successfully..thn in the sam dvd(i had given multisession).i tried to write another film and it wrote successfully..but i could not see it in my disk when i inserted it again.thn again i tried to write in the samedisk and it said cant write in the disk,..insert proper disk.

Have come across this many times your writer seems to be working ok it seems to me you have a bad or corrupt disk just change the recordable disk for another one and everything should then be ok

Surely to load XP is a DownGrade. As this notebook is dual core, I would run Vista 64 or better still Windows 7 64.
If you wish to persist with an old system, you require SP3 for XP.That may be available from a software store but is no longer supported by Windows.
Try for drivers that you will require to have support from Acer.

Hope that clarifies your situation.

Just want to now what is the biggest duo 2 cpu can you put in the acer aspire l310 desktop

This is the standard equipment for your model.
Problem is, your system is already maxed out for heat.
If you add a faster CPU, you will most likely suffer from overheating, but yes you can add up to a 3 gig+ duo with no problem fitting it in the socket. Expect your power supply fan to run constantly though.

Processor: 1.86GHz Core 2 Duo E6300
Memory: 1GB DDR2
Storage: 320GB hard drive
Optical Drives: Double-layer DVD±RW
Monitor: None
Graphics: Integrated Intel GMA 3000
Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium

HP Pavilion dm4 will not recognize a DVD-R+ that I had made from a home VHS tape.

What program did you use to make this DVD? If its in a format that it can't decode, like AVI, DIVX, XVID, & etc then you will likely need a program to decode that format, or try burning the DVD again under a different format; if your burning program gives yo that option.

Fails to finish copying and burning cd/dvd

If you have changed the writer, the operating system, and the burning software, I would suggest changing the make of the DVDs first. If that doesnt change anything, would be looking at a faulty motherboard to be honest.

I Write a Data DVD in LG Writer of LG Writing Software. But it took almost 35 minutes to burn 4.0 gb of data. Using .... 40 minutes to burn dvd in nero at @8x; @16x burning dvd time 35 minutes. Plz...

You haven't given your system specification, like the amount of memory ram, processor speed, is it a new machine, duo core etc. The data you have burned on the disk, will depand on the software (nero) if it is converting the data, then it burns or it uses other form of encoding software to convert your data. Test your dvd writer manually, using nero CONTROL DRIVE"S SPEED. hope this will solve your problem. Thanks

Burning disks plays a big role with your PC need a processor like a core 2 duo processor and about 2 GB of RAM....just increasing the ram would be much faster...
