Question about Dishwashers

AFTER A BRIEF POWER OUTAGE DUE TO ELECTRICAL STORM THE F1 CODE FLASHES AND PUMP RUNS CONTINUOUSLY. TURNING POWER OFF ONLY STOPS IT FOR SEVERAL SECONDS. TURNING OFF POWER TO DW AND BACK ON DOES NOT RESET. I HAVE REMOVED THE BOTTOM DRAWER AND CHECKED FOR WATER, BUT UNIT IS DRY. IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO RESET THE SWITCH?

    MM,

Thank you for your quick response. Let me give you some more details of how we got here: At about 3a this morning our power failed for an hour or so. I was awakened by the sound of the DW pumps and the F1 warning beep. After checking the FAQs on this site I removed the drawers to be sure, and there is no moisture at all under the unit. Is it possible the flood switch was triggered by a power surge of some kind? If so, is there another way to reset the unit?

    Thanks again for your help

Hi there,

The f1 fault is cased by a leak on the dishwasher.
It is activated when water gets to a dangerous level in the base of the appliance near to the PCB.

The main reason this happens is putting cups on the drop down shelves and when the lid comes down to seal the drawer it can't and leaks. If you look at the drawer when open there is a lip around it, if anything is proud of this lip the lid will not shut properly.

You need disconnect the power and remove the bottom drawer and the dry up all the water in the base. If you leave the appliance long enough it will dry out by itself.

Once you have done this and the problem still comes back you will need and engineer as there is a problem with the lid motors or the seal’s.

Hope this helps

WHY IS MY DOUBLE OVEN BEEPING WHEN TURNED ON AND THEN DISPLAYS F1 ERROR CODE?

It means you have lost power. It could be due to a power outage or brownout. Check the user interface, control board, harness, etc. It may also have a short. In that case, consult a professional to check the unit.

Wm3431 pf code

The PF error code indicates a power failure. This might occur while machine is working due to an external disturbance like a storm or power outage in the area. If the PF error code is displayed, turn off the power to the washer, unplug it for 10 seconds, and restart the wash cycle. If the error code continues to present after these steps have been taken, then the washer may require service.

After a brief power outage during a thunderstorm my canon i9900 will not turn on. I left it un pluged for several hours and then repluged it and still nothing. Everything else in the office works fine.

The power supply of your printer are damage due to the brief power output during the thunderstorm. Just check the fuse inside of the power supply of the printer if they have some burned or else use the Multi Tester to identify that the fuse are damage or needed for replacement.

What do codes e2 and f1 mean?

Here is what the manufacture says about it, my comments are below.

F1 E2 - UL A/D error(s)

1. Verify failure if not displayed, using CANCEL/OFF key. Press key for 5 seconds until last
error code is displayed.
2. Disconnect power longer than 30 seconds.
3. Re-apply power and observe for longer than 1 minute.
4. If failure remains, disconnect power, replace control.

Phil's comments----->

F1 Codes are related to the control itself, if there was a storm, power outage, surge etc it could have damaged the control. Try resetting the board by unplugging the range or turning off the breaker for a couple minutes. Restart and see if that helps. If not you will need to replace the control.

The part number for this unit is 4453614 and runs just over $300.00

We had a brief, about 5 seconds, power outage now our Intertherm electric furnace is turning on and off repeatedly. The temp was set at 65 and I turned it down to about 60 and it has stopped. Could that...

Hi, is this furnace a free standing unit or a full size electric heater? You can try turning off the main power to this heater for 5 or so minutes and back on again. You may have lost a internal stat of some kind. Try what I said and if nothing changes, send me the model and serial number so I can check into this further. If it stopped at 60, it should be alright at 65. The thermostat may have burned out. I don't know this yet but let me know what happens.

Unusable new oven after ice storm

HI. the storm has caused an electrical surge that traveled through the home wiring system and, the Oven control received the hit in this case. it is damaged at this point, and it should be replaced asap, if possible. this code represents a major control breakdown. the board is ruined.

PANASONIC KX-TG2258 E3 ERROR CODE

This method worked for me!! you guys should try this.

i've copy this review from amazon.

by Kane Doerfler

"After a brief power outage from a thunder storm, I also experienced an e3/lights blinking error. I unplugged the phone and plugged it back in several times to no avail. After doing this a couple of times unsuccessfully, I hit the "STOP" button on the base immediately after plugging it in (before it completed booting up to show the "e3 message")and it reset itself and now works fine (or as well as it did prior to the e3). Try it before tossing yours in the garbage"

thanks to Kane. I saved my phone~!!
