Most probably the speaker jack is in the aux. port. Also check under systems----device manager to see if it recognizes the sound and has the adequate drivers for it...........sodeep

Air bag lght came on after my husband pushed the passenger side seat back, it stays on after a few seconds of flashing

If you are certain this light only illuminated after your husband moved the seat, then he may have disturbed a wiring loom, or a crash sensor beneath the seat.

- Disconnect the NEG (-) battery lead and wait for 5mins (this will disable the Airbag circuit & reset the computer).
- Look under the seat for any wiring looms - ensure the connectors are tight and secure
- Also look under the carpet, for a crash sensor (small square box) and if found, ensure the wire connections are tight and secure.
- Once you are happy everything is ok, reconnect the battery lead.

If the Airbag light comes back on after a few drive cycles, then you will need to have codes read from your vehicle's computer (your local dealership can do this for you) which takes about 15mins.

The fault codes will identify which component/s within the Airbag circuit is causing the issue.

Good luck.....

At first my front right hand turn signal wasnt working. my husband thought that the bulb burned so we bought one..but when he went to change it he noticed it was the wrong one..and also when he lifted the...

Not expensive, Go back under the Hood and compare the wiring positions on the Left hand bulb to the RH. If this is all correct, then check the Ground connection of that lamp. When the Headlights are ON, the RH turn signal, is tacking a Ground from that Headlamp.

Good luck. DT

Tell me how to reset the cd player on model # cdx-gt420ip. I can't download the manual on my computer.

pop out the front of the stereo and there's a small reset button around the middle of the part that's still attached. get something somewhat sharp like a pencil to press it with. that should reset everything but if it doesn't work you can take the whole thing out and disconnect the wiring harness and wait about a minute. then plug it back in and put everything back. that will reset everything too.

199 Mercury Cougar

my husband just uses his finger nails to lift up the switch. Ours has failed multiple times and we purchase 2 at 65-70 dollars a piece from the dealership. Don't waste your money, its not the switches. It is the wiring to the switches. After trial and error, my husband pulled the wiring up thru the switch hole and seen that the wiring was loose on the back of the wiring harnes. so he tightened everything up, and wah lah. Save ourselfs $$$$. Make sure to disconnect the battery before working with any electrical components.

Speakers not working, but cables all plugged in...

You might have to reinstall the software that came with the speakers since you had to wipe your computer clean when the virus was on there. The speakers will not work until the software is installed back on your computer.

E-Machine Mother Board Connections

Find the company, and name of the board, and look that up. Computer manufacturers could use any number of different boards. You need the specific manual to that board. The manual should explain where the connections go. Sounds like you have the LED HD and POWER ON LED disconnected.
