My volume went low.

These are speakers with their own power?

No? - Get some.

Yes - Win7 - If you speaker icon is missing go to Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Manage Audio Device > Sound. In Playback Check levels and configure speaker setup, like 2.1 or 5.1.
You should also check speaker connections for left speaker.

The phone's volume is too low when you play songs.

Possible fault off the speaker, possible clogging of dirt in the pores of the speaker which can reduce the volume.
remove clean and reset, if the volume does not improve, replace the speaker - unless the audio output level is too low - possible audio amp being faulty.

My polk audio speakers from a prior hp computer are very, very quiet on my new compaq system. what can i do?

The audio setting in your new computer is set to low level. Right click on the speaker button at the right hand bottom corner of your task bar,Then open the volume control from there. push the slider up in the volume control and also on the wave. You can push the slider up for the CD player as well as PC speaker also if any of these are also kept at a low level. If you do not have a speaker icon in the task bar, open control panel,(click on start and you will see the control panel selection, double click on it) and double click on sound and audio devices. Under device volume, push the slider from low to high. while you are here you can click on "place volume icon in the task bar" You can also click "advanced" and select the appropriate speakers here, like desktop stereo speakers or surround sound or whatever suits your speaker. click ok to save this and that is it.

I have heard audio on my computer axcidentely but thats all, How do I set it up normally ?

There are volume controls on your computer to set this up make sure the speakers are plugged in to a power source and the jack that connects to the computer is in the audio out port. (probably already have this done)

The next step is to look at the right hand side of the screen towards the bottom (windows operating system) and there should be a speaker there. left click on this once and it should bring up a sliding bar. turn your speakers low so that it does not startle you and Slide this all the way up. Now you need to slowly adjust the speakers volume till you have the desired level of sound.

Sound is low

try to see if the wave volume is on and maximum on the volume panel ( double click on vol icon on tray system (right low) ) ...also see if your speakers are plugged into the proper place ...and are not in the auxiliary out or something like this ...they should be plugged into the green middle out ...if they are simple stereo 3,2 jack ...so ..if the problem its still on ..its probably the sound card...(actually the pre-amplifier on it ..)

Rear Speaker volume too low

Channel level output can be adjusted in the menu if you have the remote. Set the rear channel level volume higher and the fronts lower if need be, and then turn up the volume. Enjoy!

Loudness Equalization : on

Equalizer: Choose one (Jazz seems to be loudest setting but sounds of hallway effect so I use powerful for clarity.)

This has more than doubled the level of volume on my acer 5570.
