Hi..............I have found that if you go to the samsung support site and say you have a K660i or 770i you can get the settings sent to your ka08.AND THEY WORK! I have so far setup for Asda mobile, O2, Virgin & Vodafone
cantact your network provider and ask for a sim update and a gprs install message this may solve the prob.
also check the message centre number is in the phone correctly, goto message settings and message centre number, insert the correct one from below save it and then you should be able to send messages.

If the owner of the phone lost it or had it stolen, they can have the phone blocked, using the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number. If that’s the case the phone can only be unblocked by a repair shop.
The SIM card is blocked because the person who's phone it was, doesn't want to pay for calls made by someone else. So the SIM card is never going to work again. Blacklisting:
This is not a security code, but it works like one! To help combat mobile phone thefts, the networks share a database of the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) of mobile phones that have been reported stolen. Once a phone is on this list, it will not be allowed to use any of the networks.
This can be a risk if you buy a second-hand phone, because if it has been stolen, or if an unscrupulous seller makes an insurance claim after selling, the phone you bought in good faith may be permanently disabled.
Be very careful to check the source of a second-hand phone!
