If i am right to understand then the system starts on the secondary screen attached to the laptop and not on the LCD for this go to bios settings and select primary diplay as onboard AGP instead of the PCI and the system will start on the LCD panel on the Laptop..

once in Windows OS, also check to see that there are a couple of Fn key combinations where you can set the monitor/screen you can work with and this is a toggle key so you can select the output monitor to work with

if there is any other clarification that you would require, then you may add a comment to the same post or you can mail me at

My car was in the shop to get my starter fix when i got my car back i turn on my deck it ask me for my password i put a password 3 time i think its was the wrong password now my deck is lock how could i go...

It appears that that when your car was in the shop to do what ever work, they disconnected the battery, then of course now, that you tried to put in password, after the third time it locked. So, what I would try is disconnecting battery, and maybe that will bring you back to the #key pad. As far as the right password, you would have to contact the manufacturer of your deck, or maybe place like CAR TOYS, they might have a code they know to override yours to reset a new password. I hope this helped you, Mike

Seems like you need to re-install Windows or use System Restore. Look in documentation how to do this, or post again for help.

Toshiba A215 Password Removal

I had the same problem and could not find the pictures either. I still figured it out, so here are more detailed instructions. Please use a combination of the previous instructions and mine. This worked for my computer, but I can't guarantee success everytime since I have only done it once. Just do the best you can.

-Pull off the memory cover on the back of your computer.

-Now, take out any memory cards that are present.

-Look at the circuit board under where the memory was. You should see a rectangular black plastic sticker.

-Pull the sticker up.

-Look VERY closely at the circuit board under where the sticker was. You should find two soldering points close together that are labled with "B500."

-Now put one memory card in the slot that is furthest from the circuit board. DO NOT put a memory card into the inner-most slot at this time.

-Carefully hold a very small straight screwdriver over these two points and turn the power on to your computer.

-The Toshiba boot up screen will appear.

-Continue holding the screwdriver over the two points until the Toshiba screen goes away.

-When the screen goes away, pull away the screwdriver.

-Turn the computer off.

-Put the black plastic sticker back in place on the circuit board.

-Put all memory cards back in the memory slots.

-Put the memory cover back on the laptop case.

-Turn the computer on.

At this point I was asked to start windows normally or start using repair wizard. Normally did not work. So start windows using the repair option. It took about 10 minuts for windows to finally open normally.

100% success in my case! Please be careful when doing this repair because I do not know what damage could be done if you do it wrong. But, after 2 months of not using my laptop, it is finally back in operating condition!

Thanks
