Whats the model number? side by side or top freezer? most fridges have a drain in the bottom that drains into a pan under the fridge. This is where the ice goes that the no frost function makes to evaporate into your room. If the drain is plugged, it will pool up. Is the ice maker leaking? Do you live where the humidity is super high? Opening and closing the door alot will let warm moist air in. I doubt that is the problem though. More likely a plugged defrost drain

SOURCE: Refrigerator/ water collecting under veggie bins

sounds like you do have a clogged drain tube, its self defrosting but the defrost water is pooling under hte crispers instead of in the drain pan under unit.so you ll either have to remove hte rear panel of freezer and locate the drain trough/ tube, and defrost it allowing for water to drain down, o rclear all the tube leading down to the drain pan.

SOURCE: Water dripping from top of fridge (coil housing?) under freezer.

I HAD LEFT THE DOOR AJAR ON MY KENMORE DPOUBLE DOOR WITH TOP FREEZER AND IT FROZE UP NOT ALLOWING THE WATER FROM THE NORMAL AUTOMATIC DEFROSTING PROCESS TO GO DOWN THROUGH ITS NORMAL DRAIN. THE ACCUMULATED WATER THEN DRIPPED INTO THE REFRIGERATOR UNDER THE FREEZER AND HAD TO BE SOAKED UP DAILY. THE SOLUTION--I REMOVED THE ADJUSTABLE
THATBOTTOM PLATE HAD AN UPWARD CURVED PORTION AT THE REAR. WHEN RE-MOVED, YOU COULD SEE FROZEN ICE ACROSS THE BACK UNDER THE VERTICAL COVER THAT COVERS COILS(?).
IN THE FAR BACK BOTTOM THERE WAS A FULL LENGTH, APPROX 1 1/2" WIDE DRAIN AREA WITH A HOLE IN THE CENTER THAT WAS PLUGGED WITH ICE.THAT WAS PREVENTING THE NORMAL DRAINING PROCESS.
A HAIR DRYER AND ABOUT 15 MINUTES MELTED THE PLUG, I THEN POURED A GLASS OF HOT WATER INTO THE HOLE AND IT DRAINED RIGHT DOWN LIKE IT SHOULD.
I HAD THE SAME FREEZE UP & DRIPPING PROBLEM A COUPLE YEARS AGO AND IT COST ME $100 FOR A SERVICE MAN TO FIX IT BUT IT'S REALLY A SIMPLE PROCESS TO FIX.

SOURCE: water pools under the veggie crisper

yoor problem is with the drain, when your refrig goes into self defrost the water melted from the defrost needs some where to go. There is a drain for this purpose....it is normally a tube that leads from the rear of freezer to pan by compressor. when this gets blocked the water has nowhere to go except into the freezer vent and down the bottom of the refridge compartment. you will need to clear the blockage in the drain tube...if you are still haveing a problem i can tell you how.

SOURCE: Magic Chef CTB1722 refrigerator leaking water from

Your evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help. Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

My Maytag Dual Pro top freezer is running too cold.

freezer should be -15 and that is about 4-5 c on the knob
fridge should be around 4-5 C which is around +3 C
frost build up is from door opened too often , for too long or bad door seals
It is more prevalent when the ambient humidity is above 50% as it is the water vapour in the air condensing on the cold surfaces

Why is water pooling in bottom of fridge under veggie drawer.? Also freezing ice cubes in back part of cube drawer

Just above the veg drawers at the back is a channel that collects water when the fridge defrosts. It has a hole to drain the water which is blocked and the water is pooling under the drawers. Clear the hole with a drinking straw.

I HAVE WHIRLPOOL ET4WSKXKQ05. FREEZER STARTING TO GET FROST AND FREEZES, BUT NOT COMPLETLY. THE FRIDGE PART IS GETTING WARMER DAY BY DAY.

Hello,
Most times this is a bad cold control, but there are other things to check for. Make sure the condenser fan is working and the coils are not covered with dust. A separated heat exchanger ( small capillary tubing soldered to the large suction line ) can separate from one another and make the fridge run too long. - tape tubing back together. A poor working evaporator fan motor could also make the fridge run too long and freeze - replace the fan motor. An inefficient compressor or refrigeration system could make the fridge run too long and freeze - have a service tech check this out. A misaligned control settings, make sure the air damper and cold control have not been bumped and are out of normal settings. Stuck open air diffusers or air dampers are becoming more and more common for allowing too much air to be blown into the fresh food section and freezing things. On all frost free fridge's the freezer temp air is blown into the fresh food section, if you have "easy" to freeze items ( eggs, veggies in water, etc ) in front of or under where the freezer temp air comes out, they could freeze - store them in a different spot. Doors not closing properly making the fridge run too long is something else to check for.
Hope this will help to solve then problem..

Hi freezer on american style fridge freezer is

there is a defrost mode that melts any frost or ice on the evaporator coils and drains it into a pan under the fridge. if that drain is blocked, the water will pool inside. also check the door seals. if warm moist air leaks in, it'll condense on the cold interior and pool as well.

If the defrost heating element, defrost timer or evaporater fan weren't working, you'd develop a block of ice on the evaporator. Is the compressor running? If it is, it might have bad valves from the frost buildup scenario. Liquid refrigerant could have gotten to the suction valves. The sealed system should have a five year warranty. Might be time to call a pro
