I've never tried the lightbulb trick, but I do know that light guns won't work an LCD or plasma screens, as it relies on how CRT screens work. If this describes your problem, you'll have to scrounge up a good 'ol boxy tube TV for your duckhunting needs.

Will it hurt my NES if I lefted it on pause for a few hours then?

Well I highly doubt it then. Its not like the new console which use a laser to read the games i have lefted mine on pause for 3 hours and nothing happened but maybe just the lightbulb will burn out then other than that probally nothing.

When I play duck hunt It says I miss even when I put the gun to the screen

If your playing from an LCD or Plasma widescreen, then your gonna be missing all day. For some reason newer displays will not work with nes shooter games.

If your using it on an older tube tv, chances are that bulb alignment is not set correctly (At the end of the zapper). You would have to purchase a replacement gun.

I have nintendos duck hunt when i cannot kill the ducks but the gun is shooting bullets how can i fix this

Hi jme0007!

In order to help you let me explain to you how the Nintendo zapper works.
The nintendo zapper works by decetcing the light from your TV screen. When you "shoot" the gun the screen goes completely dark for a franction of a seccond display white squared where the targets are. The light emitted by the squares is picked up by the zapper only if it's pointed directly at it. What may have happened is that your nintendo zapper is not working propperly, to make sure of this try "firing" the gun at a strong source of light like a light bulb. If this doens't trigger the gun to work then youre Zapper is broken and sadly the product has been discontinued and they don't offer tech support for it anymore.
Your best chance of fixing it would be ordering repair kits online or buying a new one.

Hope this helped you.

I have a nintendo NES from 1985 and i also have duck hunt complete wth the gun. Even though it shows that i´ve shot and makes the noise, i never hit a duck (and itś not because...

When your playing the older games like that with the gun you have to make sure its on a crt tv (older bulky style) I know for sure it doesn't work on rear projections. If you try it on one of those style televisions and it still doesn't work I'd try to find a different gun to try I've seen some that just stop working from getting worn out and banged around to much.
Best of luck!

Cant get remote to work it wont do anything

Some NES consoles are rather finicky. You might need to give the catridge a good blow before putting it in. Check for dust in the NES as well.

Original NES image problems

Courtesy of Nintendo Repair Shop, try this site out I heard they are pretty reliable. Sounds to me like a new connector is in order for your NES. They tend to go after a while and the connections get worn out. Here is the link:

Give it a shot and rate me when you can. Thanks.

Opening up NES console

to my knowledge no, all screws on the NES are phillips screws.

If you see some funny star shaped screws then you need what they call a gamebit. Check ebay. There are two sizes of "gamebit" so if you need the tool check you get the right one.

Nes wont come on!ac adapter is warm though

As far as I know a NES can go on for a very long time if looked after properly. I still have mine with duck hunt and it works fine lol. The only way to check if it is working is to test the external power supply for the correct voltage output with a multimeter. It should be written on it somewhere what the output voltage is. Allow for +/- 2volts as this could be just meter error. If the voltage is too low suspect the external power supply as faulty. If too high it could have fried a component on the internal power supply. Hope this helps. Post on your progress.
