Question about Philips SBP1100/37 Portable Speaker System Computer Speakers

1 Answer

Sound output extremely low

Hi,
I bought 2 sets of these to have both our computers match, they look kinda cute, but the sound output is terrible!! My headphones make more noise! I set all the computersettings in every panel I could find at 100% and still the sound isn't what you would call impressive...
Anyone with ideas?

My computer is brand new (just 2 months old)!!! I had an other set of speakers on it that worked great, but were not mine.

Please solve my laptop sound problem?

Check whether the volume to media level setting. If it is let to extreme low, there will be no audio output, although the system start-up sound can be heard through the headphone.

Can't hear caller on Skype

Check you settings in two places for the correct audio out settings:

1. Look up under the System Preferences menu (the Apple pull down menu) the sound icon (looks like a speaker) and click on it to open it. At the top it will show three choices, Sound Effect, Output, Input. The problem you can't hear the Skype caller is likely the Output setting is incorrect. For example, you may have Line Out selected, but you are listing on head phones. Make the device name match what you are using to make sound.
Also check to see that the output volume is not set too low. Move the slider around to increase the volume.

2. Then check your Skype setting.Under Skype>preferences, select Auto/Video. Check to see what is selected under "Speakers: and check again to see the Volume is turned up high enough to hear.

Also make sure you have a good speaker or headphone connection.

You can check to see if you can hear by calling the Skype test call number to record yourself and listen to it. Go the www.skype.com/go/help for more information.

Hi there, i just bought 2 Technics mkii

well" for a start, they need to go into a phono socket, this amplifies them.
i take it you bought 2 decks with the intentions of mixing, so you gonna need a mixer.
MIXER & DECKS SET UP:
1.decks into phono channels 1&2
2. black GROUND wires, go to GND screw on back of mixer
3. RCA master / booth Outputs on mixer to AUX / LINE-IN on amp.(not phono)

How do you install an audio output device?

this depends on what kinda audio output you want to install ..but the general idea is to get the audio signal from the computer from the green out in the back on the sound card (it is a 3.5 jack ) ..and there is the stereo out-put for the computer's sound..It can be amplified in any device that has a stereo input on 3.5 jack ..
if you want something more complicated..the map of the out-put (the scheme) will be shown in the sound manager (of teh driver ) ..when you make the output changes..This is on a color code..and can be 2+1...3+1..4+1..and the surround 5+1..when you choose surround 5+1 from the sound manager ..it is shown all 3 outputs and the role they play ..bass+center ...Front ...and rear ..they are 2by 2 stereo paired on left and right ..

How do i wire in a Zn-4088 Xlopd sub/amp?

I also bought one and it came with no instructions either.

Should be pretty simple but if you want to control the On/Off of it by the head unit you will need to use a relay,

No sound if audio is set to realtek digital output

THe realtek Digital Output will only output sound if you have an optical cable attached. this allows you to connect your laptop a audio receiver via an optical cable. this is why you get no sound when it is set to digital output.
