Question about Maytag Neptune FAV6800AW Top Load Washer
I saw your previous post and I feel you have a Control Board issue. If power cycling the machine at the 120VAC service outlet doesn’t clear the issue this could be a $300+ fix by a service repair person.
This is a $1000 machine so you will have to make the decision to repair or not. Because you are not the original owner you may not get any service support from Maytag. The control board has a 5 year warranty.
If you want to DIY a fix I would have to start by replacing the Control Board.
If you are near the 19344 area and decide to junk the machine I would make you an offer for parts. Here is a link for the Service Manual. Down load and take a look. Plug your serial number into this Age Finder to look up Mfg. date.
Good Luck. Rich
