Tis a process so here goes..... Central Security Module (CSM) enable/disable mode allows autolock feature to be turned on or off. To enter enable/disable mode, close all doors. Ensure ignition switch is in LOCK position. Perform the following steps within 30 seconds:

Turn ignition switch from LOCK to RUN position.
Press power door lock switch UNLOCK button 3 times.
Turn ignition switch from RUN to OFF position.
Press power door lock switch UNLOCK button 3 times.
Turn ignition switch from LOCK to RUN position.

CSM module should chirp horn indicating CSM module is in enable/disable mode and ready to accept program changes.

Press power door lock switch UNLOCK button once to command CSM module to toggle autolock feature on or off. Press power door lock switch LOCK button once to enable/disable autolock feature. CSM module will chirp one time to indicate autolock has been disabled.

CSM module will chirp once, followed by a longer chirp to indicate autolock feature has been enabled. Press power door lock switch UNLOCK button once, then turn ignition switch to OFF position to exit enable/disable mode. CSM module should chirp once to verify a feature change. Best to you.

SOURCE: how do you reset the anti theft system

Try disconnecting your battery cables then wait about 10 minutes. The computer should reset itself. Reconnect the wires to the battery. It is normal for the theft light to blink about every 5 seconds when the ignition key is out or in the off position. This means the system is armed and working properly. Hope this helps. God bless!

1995 Ford F-150. I just replaced battery and alternator but battery is completely dead when I turn engine over.

Question edited for clarity, typos and words that are incorrect 'automator' to 'alternator'.
Question moved to model category.

Put a battery charger on it for at least 8 hours on 6 amp charge. Make sure the battery ground has a good contact using a digital multimeter. After 8 hours, start the car and run it.

Next day, try and start again. If the battery is flat, you have parasitic draw.

One further thought, does this old vehicle have a security system and engine immobilizer? Do you have a steady or flashing red light anywhere. You may be locked out of starting the engine because you disconnected the battery. In fact Goggle says it does have anti-theft.

It's easier than you might think. In most cases, the anti-theft system on a Ford F-150 can be reset by turning the vehicle to "accessory" mode and leaving the key in the ignition for several minutes until the anti-theft light shuts off.

1999 Ford F150 cranks & no start, theft code 16.

when an anti-theft module 16 is tripped and the vehicle won't start, the only way to fix it is to reset the system using factory software or a high-end scan tool. You may be able to find a mobile mechanic/locksmith with the software who can come to you, but most likely you will have to get the vehicle to your local dealer.

Turn ignition key and motor starts up, next day turn ignition key and motor just turns over and wont start. could it be anti theft problem its a 2002 f150 4 wheel drive with 4.6 liter

This could be caused by either a faulty Crank Shaft Position Sensor or the anti-theft system. Try put key in, turn to ON position for EXACTLY 10 minutes, As SOON as anti-theft light shuts off or stops flashing, then IMMEDIATELY start the engine.

Anti theft malfunction

Heres the skinny....the wire around the ignition switch is actually an antennea for your anti theft transponder system. the other two wires work in conjuction with the anti theft system in that it supplies power to the ignition switch itself when your key is inserted into the ignition. Inside your key is a chip which emits a certain frequency known only to your vehicle.....when this key is near the ignition switch (ie going to start the car) the antenna senses the frequency and the anti theft system powers down and powers up the ignition so you can start your vehicle.
