Question about Acer Aspire 5920-6727 Notebook
You probably have the NumLock on. You see, unlike desktop models, laptop keyboards don't have a seperate Numeric Keypad. Instead, when you switch on the Num Lock, part of the keyboard acts as the numeric keypad. So just switch off NumLock. (The button might be designated with no.1 and a padlock sign, near upper right area of the keyboard). You will have to do this everytime OS start. Probably it is set to switch on in your BIOS settings.

N Vista go to "Control Panel/Regional and Language Settings" and select
the keyboard language Tab to choose language to suit your keyboard.
I think its "Control Panel/ Regional Settings" in XP. John
