Turn the pc off and unplug all the wires and peripherals that are attached onto it.
The desktop chassis should have a side panel that comes off, that is screwed onto the body. once you get the panel off, you can use a can of compressed air to get rid of the dust and debris from the fan, air vents and the heatsink.
