My car has mileage of abiout 24,000 and is about 2.5 years old. It can go a few weeks starting and running perfectly. Then, out of the blue it becomes reluctant to start immediately. It will turn over and over and over but not catch on. Leave it a good five or ten minutes and it resumes normal service. Sometimes when the key is turned the iginition light and dashboard light up but no engine sound at all. Leave things for a few minutes and bingo! Everything returns to normal. The battery is ok and I always know not to flood the engine. After a few days of testing my spirit and powers of persistence the car suddenly decides I've passed the test and decides to become a normal first time starter once more! What is it with my 'neurotic' vehicle? Or is it me with my heavy-handed impatient 'ignition fingers' ! ????
Be quick as this vehicle is still under warranty from the manufacturer,get in touch with them before it is 3 years old.Now it all depends on the rules of the seller in your location but here in the Uk this is covered by warranty.You may be having a problem with ECU or coil or anything which will be quite costly and time consuming to fix.
