Go into the camera settings and check the storage selection..

How to save directly to the external memory card. of my coolpix s570 - Nikon

- removing the memory card from the camera is the only way in order to automatically set it to internal and vice versa

-please note that it will prompt you if you want to format the selected memory(be careful not to format when you still have pics in it

Don't know how to get pictures saved on my Nikon P90 hard "memory" bc I took pics without a sd card in it. Now, need to get them "off" or copied/saved on sd card.

You can move the pics to your computer first, as for some camera, if you insert a SD card, you won't find the pics on the camera hard memory.

My camera will not save photos to memory card

Please try to take out your memory carrd and format it in your PC. there after save some files/photos to the meory card to test the memory. Format it once again and reinsert into yourr camera. If this wont work ther is a fault within the camera processor controller which may require help. replace memory card if otherwise. Hope you try. Good day

My camera stopped saving pictures to my memory card. It seems as if I am taking a picture, but when i go to view it it isn't there! I have tried multiple memory cards to be sure that it is the camera and...

With no card in the camera, try to view the pics. If they show up, they are being stored in the internal memory. It must be formatted to completely erase it before the camera will start saving to the memory card.

I received a new Compact Flash card (4GB) for my Nikon and when I put it in the camera it says out of memory?

If there are any pics in the internal memory, you need to get rid of them. With no card in the camera, download any you want to save and then go into the menu and find "format"...follow the instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, insert the new card and do the "format" thing again.

I was downloading pics when suddenly my PC showed

I just want to give you one more option that Steve did not mention. It is a bit of a duhh action, but did you take the battery out and let it sit for a few hours? Try that, and then when you go to plug it in to the computer again, use a different USB port. (Thatt is of course if it powers back up after the battery removal.)

I have a coolpix s230, using the memory card to hold pics

Try another memory card, memory card can go bad. If this does not solve the problem your camera has a fault in the SD memory card or the memory card board.

The easiest way is to transfer pics from the camera memory to you pc/notebook memory and then copy them to the the memory card thereafter with the help of a memory card reader.

Memory card error

Try another card. The card can have a life limit, after all it is flash memory.
Also try to use the card in a card reader, not the camera. If that works, and you can save your pics... (remember never try to delete or change any of the pics. on the card from the computer, a lot better chance of corrupting the files...that may be due to the fact that the camera and the computer can be seeing different ways of making folders and reading them...just mention that because I had it happen... always format and delete all pics in only the camera you use that card in.)
If you are successful to transfer your pictures, then format the card in the camera, and see if it will work.
The final on this is that if the card will not format, and will not save pictures, then it is finished. You can try to use it in another kind of camera, sometimes that may work as well.
