Can't explain the reason for the problem, but Flip support taught me how to fix it. Take batteries out of camera and let sit for 48 hours. After 48 hours, install a different set of batteries in Flip and turn on. Your problem should be solved. Worked for me the first time and I am currently doing it again for the second time.

Stop start will not work new battery fitted

Bad switch, or connections there to. But you need the Ecu error codes read by your favorite auto parts store, or your competent auto repair shop, or your Dealer. Bad codes will prevent start. Also could be this bad behavior began after you replaced the battery? If so your security system has killed your starting system. You will need to get security code and instructions from your dealer via vin number.

I just went though airport security, but now my screen is too dark to work with. I have tried taking out the batterie, and I have restarted my computer a few times. It was working fine this morning.

Airport security probably turned off your screen's backlight. On my Acer Aspire One Netbook it is turned on/off by pressing Fn key and while holding it, pressing F6.

Flip video freezes when I turn it on to record

If the camera2_bing.giffreezes, and if it freezes more frequently and you experience decreasingbattery runtime, you may need a battery replacement. If battery replacement doesn't cure it you need a new motherboard. There is a servicethat can fix common issues like the battery screen, on Flip VideoCameras Flip Video Repair

Flip Video Mino keeps freezing up, can't shut down or upload

At least the following works on my first generation Flip Ultra camcorder (not Mino). Remove battery, put it back next morning. After that be careful not to touch "on" slider switch on the side of the camcorder while Flip logo is still on the screen. I mean turn the device on by using the slider switch and do not touch that switch again until Flip logo on the screen is gone. Doing the opposite (trying to use the "on" switch again while device is still "booting" and Flip logo is on the screen) will lead to the Flip Ultra freeze.

Flip Ultra - freezes at initial Flip screen - will not shut off

I found a fix that worked for mine.
It was doing the same thing, freezing at the "Flip" screen and would not turn off. I did the remove the batteries deal. It worked once but issue reoccured 2 months later and the battery fix didn't fix it.
What did fix it was...
With the camera off, hold down the Right Arrow button and the trash can button at the same time and turn the camera on.
A few seconds later, I was at the start recording screen!!

Good Luck!

Apple Powerbook G4 17in 1.33Ghz. Tiger OS. Airport problem.

I had a similar problem with my 15" 1.33GHz powerbook G4.
My problem was I couldn't connect to a network right away or at all, or wouldn't properly reconize the card (didn't drop it).

I solved it by removing the airport card from my PowerBook and putting it back into my G4. it should be in the same location.
it's underneath the battery pack.
1. power off your G4
2. remove battery pack
3. there is a latch on the right side (if the charger port is facing down), open it
4. pull back plastic cover tab and gently remove the antenna plug from the airport.
5. pull the plastic tab, until the airport card is removed, keep out for 30+ seconds to ensure it erases any corrupt log file on card it's self.
6 place airport card into the slot again, fully inserting it, it should go 1/8" - 1/4" into your powerbook
7. plug in the antenna plug back into your G4's airport(it should click 2x(very lightly)), flip plastic tab back over top the antenna cord, close you latch.
8. place battery back into your G4
9. plug computer in, turn on and it should work
if not then there is something wrong with the airport card reader, which i don't think it's the case here..

LCD screen is white

It is not likely that the x-ray machine goofed up your camera's circuit. It is more likely that the vibration on the plane loosened a flex connector, possibly a chip has failed. A reputable repair shop is the answer for this.
